We are looking for a “go to” Italian place since we moved and based on reviews went to Pazzo. First off, loved the atmosphere and the vibe right when walking in and especially in the bar area. We went on a Thursday night around 6:30....We were lucky to find 2 bar seats together. Very lively at the bar which we like. We started with the calamari. Not going to lie…..may be the best calamari I’ve had, came out really hot so it wasn’t sitting around waiting. It was crispy, tender, not chewy at all, really good. We also got a margarita pizza, which was pretty good. The only issue was with my main dish. I really like amantriciana and it isn’t something commonly on menus so I went for it. When it came out it I noticed it looked a bit soupy. When I tilted the plate/bowl the bottom had a lot of “tomato water” with the chunky tomatoes on top of the pasta. It was very noticeable. Then there were a lot of long sliced onions which I don’t think I’ve seen in amantriciana before. I thought it was just guanciale, tomato sauce and pecorino. Then the guanciale, this I’m used to seeing as cubes or lardons, this was cut into thin strips almost like if you slice prosciutto. And it wasn’t browned at all. Some of the slices were just fat slices. I actually picked out a lot of the onion and fat strips. It tasted ok, but the onions and the way the guanciale was cut just didn’t work for me. The service was great. Attentive and helpful. I was really impressed with the wine list and whiskey list. Very well stocked for a neighborhood Italian restaurant. The whiskey list is something you would see at a city steakhouse. We live closer to the Ashburn location and may give that shot next time and try another dish and hope the atmosphere is similar.More

This was the best Italian food I've ever had...and my husband's family is Italian. Seriously, the muscles, the pizza, the pasta! We went 2 nights in a row while we were in the area.

Had a nice evening with a few friends. I asked for a special dish which wasn’t on the menu that they gladly made, which I appreciated. Couldn’t wait for dessert. When I received my tiramisu, it tasted like it had been in the refrigerator for...a week, premade, with no coffee or chocolate flavor. It just tasted like layers of stale whipped cream and cake. I had a few bites and the waiter asked if I wanted to take it home. And I said no that it wasn’t very good. But he didn’t offer to take it off the check, and we just left the whole piece in the table when we left. Had heard such wonderful things about this place. But dessert is important to me, and we probably won’t be back.More

For the most part, the four of us enjoyed our meals. The green and Greek salads were very good; the pasta and meat entrees were delicious. Prices were reasonable, especially for the wine. A few nits: (1) some of the entrees were served piping hot,...others were much cooler; (2) the waiter misinterpreted a request for wine "for us" as a request for one glass rather than a bottle; and (3) the bottle of red wine was warm, as if the wine rack were too close to the pizza ovens.More

What a wonderful place. The people are friendly, the atmosphere transforms you to Italy, and the food is so delicious. We had Angel hair with meatballs and gnocchi with meatballs. And a tiramisu. We’d highly recommend this place of in the area.

Amazing high end Italian food. Nice atmosphere. The veggie lasagna was delicious. There were so many amazing dishes to chose from. They serve a lot of fish as well. We also enjoyed the flatbread appetizer and chocolate cheesecake. My friend got the Sophia Loren dessert...and said it was delicious too.More

Loved everything! Went for my hubby's birthday while visiting my brother and his family in VA. There was 6 of us. We had reservations and were originally seated in a very tight spot, but were moved to a better table when requested. The grilled calamari...was out of this world. The fried was good, too. Salads awesome. I got the butternut squash ravioli which was perfect. Everyone else loved their meals as well. Hubby got lasagna which was also good. Dessert, they brought out 6 chocolate cups with amaretto in the bottom and some cream on top. They were delicious. Service, food, atmosphere was really great. They also sell bottles of wine on the way out for $10. Wasn't disappointed with my choices. Loved it here. 6 adults with several apps, salads, drinks, food and dessert around $200.More

First of all, I went to International School of Pizza (and actually graduated!) so I know a thing or to about pizzas even though I am non Italian. This is the first restaurant I ordered a Magherita. A bit too soft but otherwise lives to...its name. A pizza served to queen Margaret. I only finished 1 big slice because the delicious calamari did me in. lightly fried and tender, not at all boucy. dipped in a spicy mariana sauce. I found this place by accident, I told the host I entered the wrong place looking for ice cream. She said we only have gelato, and only 4 flavors: Chocolate, Pistaschio, strawberry and Vanilla. I ordered the strawberry and Vanilla. Amazing ice cream. Some will correct me "it's gelato" whatever, great dessert before the meal. Needless to say, we will return.More
