So it had been a while since I went to this pasty place and I was excited to get back. They had a nice selection and I opted for the chicken cordon blue pasty and an Eccles cake. The pasty was superb. The dough was...thick and very flavorful the filling was moist and very tasty. There were a lot of potato chunks but that was okay as the sauce had soaked into them. The Eccles cake had slightly thinner, sweeter dough and the filling reminded me of mince meat pie filling. Very yummy. Also a joy to go.More

Never seen a restaurant price gouge before... just tried ordering from Pure Pasty and the cashier added an additional 10% fee because of COVID?! Come on. Talk about taking advantage. I love pasties as much as the next guy, but randomly adding additional crisis fees...is beyond the pale, especially for food service. Don't recommend. Will not return.More

We are so pleased to have learned about this wonderful gem in Vienna, Virginia ! I am a native of the Upper Peninsula “U.P.” of Michigan, where pasties are a staple, and “Yoopers” are raised on pasties. A long history there... So I have probably...eaten pasties from 30 different sources including many different relatives, and everyone prides themselves on their “family recipe.” Enough for background. It was with high expectations that I ordered these pasties on-line, shipped/packed in dry-ice, styrophome chest for home delivery. Our pasties arrived still frozen and in great shape We ordered three different styles of pasties: (3) Lamb Moroccan pasties, (2) Chicken Masala pasties, and (2) the more “traditional” beef pasties. We have tried the lamb and chicken so far, and they have actually EXCEEDED our expectations ! As with any pie crust, the key is (a) flaky, and (b) moist. Pure Pasty Co. gets an 11 on a scale of 1-10 on this great, great crust construction. Oh my ! They nail it. As far as ingredients, there is obviously NO skimping on any ingredient, starting with the meat (minced lamb or the moist chicken). I am actually used to slapping a pat of butter inside most pasties in order to make them moist enough...NOT necessary with these pasties. As noted, quality ingredients from the Halal lamb, etc., etc. We are now excited and looking forward to other ‘Pure Pasty Co.’ products, including desserts. I am not a vegetarian but I know that they make pasties to accommodate for that style of diet (I think cheese & onion). Noted that these folks won not one but TWO consecutive years of “First Place” in the World competition for World’s Best Pastie. Pretty impressive, and not having been there, we can believe it. Enough gushing. I believe that when a company has a product this superior, they deserve credit for it AND customers desiring a great product need to know about it ! MAXIMUM recommendation.More

Adorable, walkable area. The shop is small...but as soon as you near the door you can smell the goodness within. The traditional Cornish pasty was fantastic! The butter, flakey crust was as good as the filling! We loved them so much, we bought frozen varieties...to take home! Definitely worth the drive!More

Accidentally walked in there a year ago, and have randomly taken family/friends who all love it. Its nice to have something different in Vienna with all the chains going in.

Great hand made pasties with friendly and fast service. Traditional and exotic- all are great. Although a bit more expensive then your typical greasy London corner pasty, they are also much better than your typical greasy London corner pasty.

This is a great restaurant with an excellent variety of gluten free entrees. My wife is GF so I naturally select GF entrees. Tasty meals in a nice environment..only issue..TV's are a distraction.
