Great spot to pick up lunch. Dine in or take out. They also have delivery. Sandwiches are great. We also tried the chicken chili with French fries as the base. It was delicious. Spaghetti and corn chips are other base options. I’ll be back to...try them. Service was quick.More

My first experience with Cincy style chili. The staff was very friendly, portion sizes were large and it was reasonably priced. It was a tad bland, but overall an excellent experience

I have been to this location for lunch on a few occasions and it has been a good experience. The sandwiches and soups/chilies are delicious and the prices are reasonable. The service is good but kind of churn and burn to get the line through....in any case, I would highly recommend this location for your lunch when in downtown Cincinnati!More

Silver Ladle has all kinds of good sandwiches and hot entrees. Friendly and prompt service, clean. It's a good lunch spot.

I really wanted to try a soup, so I ended up with a 3-way and it was the biggest I've seen, 2 or 3 servings easy and terrific flavor. The loaded potato and salads looked amazing. Long line walking in almost detered us being on...a time crunch, but we were in and out of there on time. Lots of options, looking forward to many returns!More

I had lunch during a weekday in January. The tables had not been cleaned after the lunchtime rush. I cleaned my own table, which was next to a wall in the restaurant. The wall had been splattered with food or drinks and apparently not cleaned...for some time. The sandwich that I ordered was one of their warm sandwiches. The vegetables had been heated along with the meat on the sandwich rather than being added to the sandwich after the meat was heated. This resulted in them being slimy (lettuce in particular). Also the bottom of the bread was not heated, just the top, resulting in bread that was very soft on the top and hard on the bottom. Overall, the experience was quite a turnoff, despite being relatively pricey for just a sandwich and drink.More

Pre order my food online, but it wouldn't let me pick a grilled cheese that was under their menu but not online ordering. My sandwich and fries was good. Saved my soup floor later and glad I did because it was filling!!

I frequent the Silver Ladle in Anderson and the mock turtle soup is only second to my mother's. I love their spinach salad and dressing, very fresh.

This is a great place for lunch. I usually choose the pick two I get a salad and their chicken chili. Never had their sandwiches but co-workers say they are good.

Silver Ladle (not just soups, which is what I initially thought) is a diner, a greasy spoon put through the ringer and turned into an contemporary hodgepodge of things. There are burgers, chicken sandwiches, coneys, clubs, wraps, soups, and desserts. The burgers are weak. Frozen...patties, and while the ideas are original, the prices are a bit high. The sandwiches (deli) are quite good, however more meat, please! The telera roll is also a tad hard. The one oddball thing is their cheese coneys. This is Cincinnati, and I'm a huge coney guy, you can't not be if you love this town. As a purist, the chicken chili is inventive, but not Cincinnati Chili. The beef variety IS Cincinnati Chili, but whoever put catsup in the chili, slap them. No catsup in Cincy Chili. It over sweetens it. The best thing on the menu thus far is the Buffalo Chicken Soup. Good Lord, it's delicious! Been three times now, each time I get amazed by one thing, find something that doesn't impress nor unimpress, and at least one bad thing. Seems to all even out for me. Dead center then. 3/5.More
