I used to frequent Allyn's in the late 90's-early 2000s. It was a great restaurant and small music venue. It was a lunch staple for me. Sadly, my 2 visits in the last month have left me quite disappointed. On both occasions, service was mediocre, but the delay in getting food to the table was astounding. The menu has been... More

Great Cajun food and an impressive beer selection, Allyn's has been on our dinner list for several years. Seems like it would be a great place to have a beer on a nice night after a Red's game (if you're into that kind of torture.)

I have been here several times. They are a bar with an eclectic menu. They have cajun favorites like Gumbo, Jumbalaya, Etoufee, but also burgers and chicken or steak philly sandwiches and mahi mahi (fish). Food is good for a bar-like environment. Parking is a challenge (street or small lot).

Definitely not the best TEX MEX I have ever eaten. But, it is FAR FROM THE WORST I have had. Service and atmosphere was very good.

Giving this establishment 5 out of 5 stars for a few reasons. One: It's located in a central part of Cincinnati, and it's fairly easy to get to. Two: This seems to be the favorite place for locals to hang out and enjoy an easy-going, no-fuss atmosphere. Three: The Cajun-style food is awesome. Hubby and I shared one serving of... More

I've been going to Allyn's for over 20 years. In that time the restaurant has grown in size, but it still has the same good food. It's a fun, casual atmosphere and is moderately priced. Sometimes they have live entertainment which can get pretty loud if you're there to eat. Try the Mardi Gras Pasta or the Jambalaya!

Just had a business lunch at Allyn's. The marinated chicken salad was surprisingly delicious. Same goes for the Jambalaya. I had forgotten all about this place. Long before all the millennials discovered the Tusculum area and airdropped in their coffee bars and fitness clubs...there was Allyn's. A neighbor bar and grill. And at that time it was a bar and...
