We eat here at least a couple of times a year. This is the original of the Jeff Ruby chain of restaurants and is, in my opinion, the best. They are noted for the bone in ribeye and once you have it you will see why. The appetizers, salads, and sides are also done to perfection. This place is first... More

Very good food, and an even better value than the other Ruby restaurants since it includes the salad and the potato. .Bar menu gives you a moderately priced alternative to the regular menu as well.

We had a great meal on a. Wednesday night. The bread was fresh, chewy, tasty, and out of the ordinary. The Freddie salad - like a BLT without the bread - delicious. The steak was great, topped with Collinsworth style Bearnaise and crab. They discovered it was out anniversary and comped us a piece of cheesecake, also quite good. So,... More

The decor is a cool old police station. I think the food is just a little above average, but not worth the expensive price.

There were four in our party. We went for a birthday celebration. Each had a different entree. Now this is one of the premiere steakhouses in Cincinnati and its housed in old Police Precinct, hence the name of the establishment. The steaks are well aged in house and are very tender and delicious. This is a not a place where... More

It has been a while since I've dined at The Precinct, but I've always said.. If I knew I was dying tomorrow, tonight I would be eating at The Precinct. Excellent service, best steaks ever. We have Ruths Chris and Mortons and other great steak houses in Cincinnati but no one beats The Precinct.

The Precinct is our favorite steakhouse to celebrate. From the atmosphere, to the fabulous staff, to the delicious food, the Precinct is the best around at treating their customers with grace. We always walk away feeling special. I have an intolerance to gluten and dairy. The waiter and kitchen staff were very helpful with my order. I had no reaction... More

Description
For Jeff Ruby, this is the steakhouse that started it all. In 1981, The Precinct was born in the former Cincinnati Police Patrol House Number 6. This turn-of-the-century, Romanesque-style structure would hold what is now the longest, continuously running white tablecloth restaurant in the city. Recently named one of America's Top 10 Steakhouses by USA Today and Gayot.com, The Precinct is frequently recognized as having Cincinnati’s best steaks, seafood and service. This consistent high level of quality and overall guest experience over 3 decades has endeared Precinct to celebrities, businesspeople, families and loyal diners alike.
