I think of myself as a sort of connoisseur when it comes to two desserts: balaclava and flan. While at opposite ends of the spectrum they are both deserts which do not get much press.
The balaclava at Andy’s is world class. It’s not the...normal “oppressive” sweet and sticky like most of these deserts are. It more of the melt in your mouth style, served warm, with a hint of chocolate sauce. It was mouth watering to say the least and I packed into my hungry mouth faster than an elephant sucking a peanut from a baby’s hand at the zoo. Of course where else would you find an elephant?
The appetizer and entree were incredible; however I ate a light meal so I could over indulge on desert.
Thanks to the team at Andy’s a true world class experience and a repeat offender for me when in this wonderful town.More
Our daughter gave us a gift certificate for Andy's, so we tried a restaurant that we wouldn't ordinarily go to for dinner. We were seated promptly when we arrived and found it had a very cozy, international vibe. The server was very friendly and explained...the menu. We ordered the chicken and beef kabobs and they did not disappoint. We were sipping a glass of Lebanese wine when a tableside belly dancer came over to entertain everyone in the room. The place is not inexpensive, but it provided a unique experience that we won't forget. Glad we went.More
Had a grandbaby photo shoot at Eden Park and wanted to find a good dinner for after. OpenTable had an available spot (turned out we didn’t need it...but late Saturday with kids didn’t want to risk it). Had the scallops and wife and 11 year...old had the special chicken. More food than any of us could eat despite how good it was. The wine was excellent and the dessert (took home because no chance to eat it with how full we were) was phenomenal (big Baklava and Tiramasu). Our waitress was great - nice and very attentive. Likely won’t be back soon since we don’t head downtown often but wouldn’t hesitate to go again when nearby.More
I have not been to this restaurant in many years, mainly because I don't live in Cincinnati. It did not disappoint. Everything was delicious. The staff was friendly as always. My teenage son was very happy. The labneh was new to me and I loved...it.More
Our party of six showed up on Christmas Eve to a restaurant that we had reservations at to find out that they had a computer glitch and we in fact did not have reservations because they were closed. We quickly searched for open restaurants and...have been meaning to go to Andy’s for years and although they were fairly crowded they fit us in. Service was very good as was all of our meals. I had the goat which is hard to find in Cincinnati. They did a pretty good job with it; however I did have to dig quite a few small bones out of it. Restaurant is a little bit off the beaten path by itself in Walnut Hills and in the past we have not gone partly due to its isolation, in the future we will not let that hold us back.More
