On Tuesday evening, I returned to one of my favorite restaurants to experience Chef Andrew Mersmann's latest menu. The dinner exceeded my expectations . . . quality, presentation, and service were outstanding. And so I thought about six or seven of Cincinnati's other excellent restaurants...More

Have been to this one plenty and have usually had a decent meal, but last night was a very off night for the place. The mussels appetizer, normally a favorite, was disappointing with a broth that might as well have been plain hot water. The...More

I had the occasion to eat at La Poste three times in the month for business purposes. Each time I found the waitstaff helpful and the menu diverse. Really the only downside to La Poste is that it can be a bit noisy when full....More

We came here for a combination birthday/anniversary dinner and we were delighted with everything. Potato/leek soup was rich and creamy, and the mushroom ravioli topped with porcini mushrooms was equally tasty. Our entrees were the Tanglewood Farm Chicken--moist, surrounded by a wonderful vegetable melange, and...More

Good food, a little underwhelmed by Cabernet selection, great service. Pleasant dining room but so loud we couldn't hear each other. Everyone else in the dining room was booming loud. That really detracts from what should be a nice conversation over dinner.

It had been about a year since we last dined at La Poste but were happpy to find it just as good as before. Alhough pricey, I especially enjoyed the special, a 12 oz Ribeye with crab, red wine demi-glace and bearnaise. Service was excellent,...More

I have dined here many times, since my office takes guests here frequently. The food is very good, especially the ravioli, scallops (I wish the poached egg fad would pass), and the bread pudding. Our table of five all enjoyed their food. However, when we...More

Excellent food, great server, nice neighborhood. Four in our group, celebrating two birthdays. Complimentary champagne toast to start the evening. We skipped the starters and elected to try most of the sides. Entrees were cod, braised beef shank, and bouillabaisse from the menu, and the...More

With attentive staff and a not too crowded dining area, this French American eatery offers something unexpected. Mushroom ravioli is a favorite, but everything we've had has been very good. The special of the night recently was a filet--so rich and delicious.

We were waiting for a movie and decided to have drinks here instead of Arlins. This was a great place to just talk without the noise in the background. The bartender was nice and after we explained why we weren't having dinner there, he made...More
