Upscale Greek/Lebanese/Turkish/Mediterranean food in a comfortable setting. Good service. Good food, especially the lamb dishes and all the appetizers. Most everything home made and the owner is almost always present to make sure everything is perfect. Full bar. Free parking in front and back. Outdoor...dining, too. Frequented mostly by locals. Make a reservation.More
We had the lamb and chicken skewers. These were nicely seasoned, and perfectly grilled. Came with rice and slaw. A great dinner before a show. Service was prompt.
This is a hidden gem for sure! From appetizers to the main course, dessert and Turkish coffee. Everything as good or better as the last. And the service was unbeatable!
Authentic, Delicious, Impeccable service, Delicious Appetizers, we took the mix grill (for2) as the main course Don't forget the cup of tea at the end We'll be back soon !!
Somewhat hidden, you will be glad you found it! I can absolutely say that the chef expertise and atmosphere of Artemis Meditterranen Bistro is the best found this side of Istanbul! My wife and I ate dinner here and proper social distancing was easy. We...started with a "choose 4" apetizer dish of hummus, stuffed grape leaves, tabboulleh, and Piyaz (see the photo). These four of 8 apetizers were so good, and so fresh and yummy, I could have made a meal of just this! We then ordered 1 beef kabob, and one chicken kabob. Now, I do love Middle Eastern, Turkish, Greek, Mediterranean Fare. But these Kabobs were by FAR the best executed kabobs I have had anywhere in the world! The chef has experience in Turkey, Ukraine, Moldova, and the United States. The chicken was perfectly seasoned, and still moist and juicy after the perfect grilling. My wife who got the beef exclaimed "Unbelievable!" then "Fabulous!" after trying the beef kabob. The cut of beef alone was very high quality, and served perfectly at medium grilling. Both were served with a side of salad and wonderfully flavored (brothed?) rice. See the photo. We then finished with the most decadent rice pudding dish I've ever had, again, from experiences all over the world. If you are interested in a true connoisseur's mediterranean experience, Artemis Mediterranean Bistro is not to be missed!More
I am so thrilled with this new dining spot, that I've gone many times and keep bringing different friends. Everyone I've exposed to Artemis has been equally excited. The food is top notch - great quality, presentation and taste! Rachel and the rest of the...servers are delightful, attentive and aim to make sure the dining experience is terrific. They do take reservations and it has become more popular as the word spreads about this little gem of a restaurant. I have personally tried several dishes - all delicious. The Baklava is the best in town!!More
What a great new Mediterranean restaurant this is. We had a party of eight "foodies" and everyone was very pleased with the food and the service. The restaurant was clean and welcoming. The location seems somewhat hidden but well worth finding!
We tried this restaurant after hearing great reviews from friends. Beautiful restaurant a little hidden away in downtown Montgomery. Everything we had was wonderful, from the soup to the hummus to the entrees! Even had almond pudding, which was scrumptious! Owners and waiter are so...nice! We will be back, often!More
Right out of Istanbul! Fantastic! We had excellent home-made hummus and baba ghanous. I loved my stuffed eggplant and my husband had a kabob of marinaded rib eye that was superb and plentiful. Currently, they do not have a liquor license but that will change...by the end of the month. Rachel provided attentive, very helpful service. Instantly one of our “go to” places.More
Decent hummus and baba ghanoush. The pita was okay. The kofta kebab was a bit salty. Very friendly service though. I’ve heard lots of good things so wouldn’t mind trying again.
We stopped in for lunch on a Sunday and had Adana kebabs, kids chicken kebabs, grape leaves, and falafel. It was all terrific and had excellent, balanced flavor. I’m taking the take-out menu!
Our friends suggested we eat here. The service was very good and the food was delicious. We had been here before when it was an Indian restaurant. They do not have a liquor license so we were told to bring our own wine. For appetizers,...our two couples shared the spicy chopped vegetables- ezme- and the hummus. Both were very good. I got the red lentil soup which I enjoyed. Both couples shared the lamb shish kebab dish- with rice and a salad. The portions were very nice. We finished with some baklava which we shared. Very nice atmosphere and food.More
We are super excited to have Mediterranean now on the area , replacing a sorely missed fav Indian spot. The food was amazing: large portions at a great price. The lamb special was out of this world. The service was spotty, you can tell on...start up mode. This will become a regular place for us!More
I read that a new Mediterranean restaurant had opened nearby, and we went for dinner there last Saturday evening. I simply love this type of food, and I was very happy with our visit. The restaurant is large and has been tastefully redecorated with striking...blue walls in the main dining area. We were seated in a very comfortable booth. We shared a cold appetizer plate of hummus, baba ghanoush, eggplant in sauce, and piyaz, served with hot pita, all yummy, especially the baba ghanoush. Our entrees were enormous in portion size: I had the chicken steak (grilled beautifully spiced boneless chicken thighs) and my spouse had the kofte (grilled marinated beef patties), both served with rice pilaf and shredded salad. We did not have room for any dessert. We definitely will return soon!More
