We were looking for an ethnic restaurant to walk to in downtown WallaWalla but the Thai one was closed when we reached it. We saw a shopkeeper just closing up her store and asked her. She suggested El Sombrero and said that her family always want to go there whenever they are in town. It was right opposite to our... More

We had supper here. The food was ordinary; not bad but nothing special. Our waitress brought our meal so quickly after we placed our order that we assumed it came straight from a microwave. The margaritas tasted a lot like lemonade and had about as much alcohol in them. We'll go elsewhere in Walla Walla on our next visit.

Good Mexican food for the price. Service wasn't the best but I've only been there once. Good margaritas..

The food was very yummy and the waitress was friendly and nice. The outside of the building was beautiful, lots of different colored flowers

We were greeted with smiles and promptly seated. The menu is diverse. Service was gracious and efficient. Food was delicious. Margaritas were good. As was the guacamole and my chicken enchilada and beef taco. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. We would eat here again.

6 show up on a busy Friday night. The pleasant greeter said 20 min and it actually was about 1/2 of that. Our server Jaime was on the spot with quick, friendly service. The food was very ample in quantity, and arrived pronto. We shared the Carne Asada and it was excellent.. I wanted corn torts and my wife wanted... More

They may have 3 or so locations but that's not a chain restaurant. Food and service here always great no matter how busy, and they're usually busy. Better Mexican than what I've had in the Tri-Cities for sure.

El Sombrero was a readily accessible with good parking. The facility was clean and nicely decorated. The menu was varied and the food, decent, but not great. Portions were more than ample. Service was better than average. On the drink menu the American beers were categorized "Imported" and the Mexican beers, "Domestic." I did not see prices for the beers.... More

The food was pretty good. I had the chili Verde and liked it. My husband had the huevos Ranchero and said it was ok. Service was decent.

I stopped here for a late dinner, because it was open and near the hotel. The waiter was friendly and prompt, and the Carne Asada was good. Portions are large, and the prices are reasonable for the amount of food served. I would come here again when I'm in Walla Walla and am in the mood for Mexican food.

Thank Cheryl L
