Horrible experience for lunch. Server had the personality of a door knob. Dirty tables cleaned as people came in and sat at them because there were no clean ones. Had to ask for menu. Took almost an hour to get our lunch. Supposedly the kitchen...crew screwed it up 4 times before getting it right and then my gravy had skinned over so it had been sitting awhile. The other server did comp our meal and 1st drink after explaining what happened. Our server just let us sit there. I am sure they're short handed but it's not good for business to let untrained people in the kitchen or on the floor as I won't be coming back for a while.More

I sat outside and it was tolerable noise wise. I had a grilled cheese and salad Most of the ingredients were local. I also had a beer that was made locally called Pounder Burwood Lawn Mower Blonde. It is a light beer. I also had...a blueberry waffle dessert which was also very tasty and local ingredients. All in all a good place; will visit again if I am in the area.More

Had some younger people (30ish?) sitting around us. Their voices & laughter got louder by the minute (or drink). Not normally a problem for us, but this young lady had a very dirty mouth. I mean the really ugly words. I'm not a prude by...any means, but there are places you just don't use the language & especially as loud as she was. It became very uncomfortable! Told our server who agreed it was inappropriate, but nothing was being done about it.More

Outside dining only, at 33 degrees. Made for a memorable nice experience, service was spot on and food excellent. I had a Reuben and my wife Granny's Whiskey Pulled Pork, both shockingly good. Two thumbs up, we will be back

The service was wonderful, we had fish and chips. The cole slaw was bland and there was more batter than cod.

I don't know what their burgers arev like but I can tell you about their breakfasts. They do it right! My wife and I have been there several times for breakfast. Never have we been disappointed. This is a good option for standard American grub.

Hey, it was OK. I mean, it's not great. But it's not bad. It's kind of just average. Debbie had the chicken club with fries. She said it was pretty average. I had the Walla Walla dog. It was supposed to be bacon wrapped, but...there was just a couple of pieces of bacon on top. You know, average. It's topped with grilled onions, but not too many of them. Fairly average, actually. I had the tots with it. I asked for some kind of steak sauce, but they apparently don't carry anything but ketchup. I thought that was the kind of thing you'd find in an average place. The service was... Wait for it... Average. Sometimes she was right there when we needed her, sometimes she was a little hard to locate (in her defense, she had way too many tables). So there you go. If you are looking for a place that is slightly better than mediocre but slightly worse than good, I highly recommend Stone Hut. You'll have an average time.More

The Stone Hut is a 21-and-over bar and grill, which serves up a great selection of burgers, sandwiches and other bar-style food. It's a popular neighborhood place, and can get fairly busy after hours and on the weekends, but it's well worth the wait. The...wait staff is universally friendly and responsive, the food is excellent, and the drinks are well-made. We get to The Stone Hut normally several times a month, and will continue to do so...More

So I'd never been here because I have a small child and minors are not allowed, so finally had a chance to go for a late breakfast (we got there about 30 min before breakfast menu ends). There was 1 available table--although some seats at...the bar. We weren't sure of the drill and after standing at the front for a minute or so, asked and were told to find a seat. We were greeted timely--almost too quick because we didn't have a chance to look at the drink menu, but he quickly came back and took our full order. We found the service soooo slow for our food to come out. We did notice a table behind of of probably 10-12 people and that probably slowed things up but we weren't told it would take so long. We got our drinks right away, but we had finished our drinks before the food came and honestly, my husband had biscuits and gravy and I had 1 sausage patty and some hashbrowns, pretty easy, but it took about 55 minutes from the time we were seated until we had food. We asked for some water when our food arrived. I probably wouldn't go back for breakfast, as busy as it is at that time and not a lot of options I would want, but my drink was pretty good. Prices weren't too bad. Also, not a lot of beers on tap. Most in bottles or cans.More

I am severely allergic to seafood, I alerted our server, had a veggie roll for lunch. It was accompanied with fries. I was deathly ill within 10 minutes, and knew I was having a shellfish reaction, and suspected cross-contamination, but later learned they cook their...fries in the same oil they use to fry shrimp. Couldn't hold down food for over a week, and even tho I love the place, I can't stomach going back. 2% of Americans have this allergy, and their menu should have included a warning, and their server should have known to warn me when I brought up the allergy before ordering.More

Generally this is one of my favorite places to eat BUT went in April 28, 2019 at 10:15 a.m. to get breakfast. Sat in a new section because where we usually sit was full (far end near restrooms/back door is normal spot) and got a...waitress that was the worst! First cup of coffee was cold, had to ask for the next one, asked her several times if they had started our order and was repeatedly told that a "big" one was just ahead of ours. Several tables next to us having same issues. My guess would be she just didn't put the order in. Several people came in after us and had their food within 20-30 minutes (different server). We asked (again) where our order was and please go check to see if they had started it. Keep in mind this was after being there for 55 minutes. NO order not started. We got up and left. Very disappointed.More

The Stone Hut has been a friendly, popular place for decades. Continues to draw the after-work crowds with specials on most nights. They continue to expand their selection of beers. I had a wonderful Belgium Kolsch (actually two!). For snacks it is bar food. Their...Fish and Chips are great, as is their personal pizza and sandwiches. I have concluded that I don't care for their hamburgers, but that is a personal preference-- to me, sweet pickle chips are better than garlic dills on a burger. Their locally sourced beef is too gamey for my taste. But again, that is a personal preference. Wait staff are exceedingly friendly and efficient, although like many places, you don't get a dedicated server, but rather who ever delivers when the order is up. Can't really establish a working relationship. After all of these years. they seem to be doing just fine with a loyal following (including me!)More
