Always a great place for simple home cook meals, tonight was especially good as it was rainy and cold, great night for heir saimin. Tonight had no line as was seated as soon as we walked in, wait staff was very attentive as usual, prices are reasonable but, show your pokemon game on your phone and get 10% discount, how... More

Been going to this restaurant for many years. Remembered when they had a juke-box and you could play your selections from your table. That's how long this restaurant has been around for. Basic local food w/Japanese selections as well. Great to eat their saimin on the rare chilly nights in Kapahulu.

Tired after a long day, too tired to cook but wanted something simple, home style. Stopped in for a saimin and burger, totally hit da spot! One day will get up early enough to pick up food from the okazuya side of the restaurant for local style bento! Their okazuya has awesome food too! Perfect to pick up for a... More

Twelve family members got together for an informal dinner, seated at a long table. Service was fast and food was tasty, large servings. Very local atmosphere, not fancy, something for everyone. Very kid friendly.

This restaurant has been a family go-to when in the Kaimuki area. Usually when going there we already know what we are going to have... Karai saimin. (Ramen noodles, green onions, char siu and a hot sauce on the side. NO SOUP!) And an order of hash balls on the side. Great in the Karai Saimin sauce! They do offer... More

I always try to visit Sekiya's at least once when home for a visit. They have solid local Japanese favorites, but I go there especially for their Marinated Fried Chicken. So ono (delicious)!

It's always nice to stop at Sekiya's. I haven't been there in a very long time. However as always, the food was really great. Brought back a lot of memories eating there.

Food cooked when ordered so it's a little slow but so worth the wait. Price for the food is worth it. Servers always check up if there is anything else that is needed.

I miss finding sukiyaki on the menu but this established restaurant has always had it on their menu. Generous portions and friendly service. They even allowed our grandsons the chance to feed their koi fish. Had oxtail and others had fried chicken and sukiyaki.

A great stop for quick food from their deli counter or to take a moment and sit down in the restaurant. It is a place for local home-style Japanese food. On my most recent visit, I enjoyed the oyako donburi which is chicken and egg on rice. Most of the food ordered comes with miso soup, Japanese pickles as well.... More
