Born and raised in Honolulu, and now a returning expat. Saw the ad for this jewel in Hawaiian Airlines Magazine. In Kaimuki, it can be considered a neighborhood restaurant. Quaint and unpretentious, but the food is so amazing. From the simple donuts and coffee to...More

It’s like Chef Lee Anne Wong read my mind (or at least my palate). We tried so many things - breakfast bruschetta (a melt in your mouth fruity revelation), breakfast bibimbap, cornflake French toast, macadamia nut banana bread, and a hash brown thing with bonito...More

This place is superb. It is a breakfast and lunch spot. It is hard to get into as there often is a wait. The food is always well prepared and very creative. The flavors are complex and come together in a harmony of tastes. Their...More

We visited for brunch on a Saturday. We only had to wait 15 minutes and it was worth the wait. The menu had a great variety. We tried the Hawaiian pancakes, the french toast and the chicken and egg skillet. Highly recommend all of these...More

Went for an early Sunday breakfast. Located in an older neighborhood but was well worth the departure from the city. Very interesting combinations, even my “bacon and eggs” husband was impressed. Highly recommend the cornflake French toast as an appetizer...

I've seen Lee Anne Wong numerous times on numerous shows on the Food Network and Cooking Channel, so I was eager to try this cafe, which was not too far from the Kahala Hotel where I was staying. This Kaimuku area of Honolulu has a...More

Off the beaten path. Frequently a line of people waiting for a seat. The menu is so tempting you will be tempted to try it all (we ordered enough food for an army). Bloody Mary could be Hawaii’s best. Come early and come hungry.

We watched Chef Lee Ann Wong on an episode of Ming Tsai and made it a point to visit the cafe for brunch while we were here. It is located in the Kaimuki area in kind of an alleyway location behind a main street. We...More

The café is great but hard to find. It is behind the pancake house. The café has a great variety of very tasty food for breakfast and lunch.

You will need a car or taxi as the restaurant would be about a 15 minute drive. The area in which it is located is kind of an interesting walk about as it has had a recent revival with restaurants and shops that you won't... More
