This sits about 150' from the fish auction on the pier where the longliners come in. They've grown from a fast food stand to be big, sit down locally famous restaurant. You have to try this.

Went with another couple. Had a blast! The out door area is nice and has a good view of the boats. The sunset is nice reflecting off the water! We had crab cake salad, and the grilled fish- both were 20% better than average. Reasonably priced. Good for anyone seeking to get away from the Waikiki high prices and tourist... More

Celebrated visiting in-laws at Nico's. Food, service and atmosphere was excellent. Nico's at Pier 38 is located off Nimitz Hwy, in the fishing village. This restaurant is open air and benefits from its proximity to the Honolulu fish auction. Had ahi belly bites for an appetizer, great tasting but spicy (Sriracha). Two of us had ahi, one wanted rare, the... More

Fantastic happy hour with drinks and upscale snacks. We ate outside, the interior is rather noisy. For Honolulu the prices are average. Dinner was very imaginative with many seafood choices. Excellent grilled scallops. Live Hawaiian music started at 6. Outside tables have umbrellas to keep the sun and occasional rain off diners. Service was very attentive without being obtrusive.

Went to the bar to watch the monday night football 11/14/16 and found that Bruce H was very pleasant and assisted us with our drinks. We were waiting for our party of 14 and it was nice place to hange out after work. The atmosphere was good and not too loud. We ended up eating dinner and the clams was... More

I've been eating at Nico's ever since they were a hole in the wall almost 20 years ago. They've really grown in that the restaurant has expanded and they now provide music entertainment and also open in the evening. The food is still excellent but the price is getting higher than it used to be. It's a great place to... More

Couldn't believe how fast the kitchen got our food out. The pork tenderloin was the most tender I ever had, the swordfish was a little dry but the seasoning was very good, but the best was the fisherman's chowder. Sitting outside next to the fishing boats was relaxing and the vibe of the restaurant is awesome.

One of my favourite places to eat. The fish and chips are always good but I went for a burger tonight and it was great and cheap too. And the gellato is a perfect dessert, alongside a Longboard of course.

We decided to try Nico's for lunch several weeks ago after arriving from California. Items tried - ahi sandwich and the ahi salad. This was the freshest ahi I can remember having in years. Absolutely perfect! The portions were large and the price was very reasonable. We liked it so much we returned for dinner and had 2 house salads,... More

Came for dinner one night. Plenty of parking. Ordered catch of the day (he), and chicken pasta (she). Food came out suprizingly fast. Maybe too fast? Any, it was delicious. Took a little home for a snack later. This place lived up to the hype.
