The wait was about 20 minutes, which wasn’t bad considering being 7th in line. We got seated and had quick drink orders in. The iced coffee was strong but they had a liquid sweetener that made it awesome. When I ordered the berry french toast...caught my eye. Our waiter Marcus suggested it and, I’m in no way exaggerating when I say this, it was the best damn French toast I’ve had the pleasure of putting in my mouth. They made it with a sweet bread kind of like king Hawaiian bread, and it was topped with fruit and local honey. Easily the best meal of our trip, and the wife had eggs Benedict which she thought was presentable enough for the ‘gram. Marcus also gave us local suggestions for restaurants and places to visit. I recommend this for any dude(gender neutral) who loves French toast.More

I rarely eat a place twice while on vacation, but for Goofy Cafe, we made an exception. The food is fantastic and SO fresh. More important, it doesn't seem to have the crazy tourist uncharges that most places in Honolulu have. Staff is friendly, the...waits are not bad during prime time. And the fruit is amazing. YumMore

This will never attract the tourists, because it is hiding on the second floor by a tattoo parlor and barber - BUT GO THERE BECAUSE IT IS THE BEST MEAL IN TOWN! We had an amazing loco moco traditional breakfast, some acai bowls, sides of...pork. Try the pineapple mimosa and freshly squeezed juices too. AMAZING!More

Such a great spot. The wait is generally long but the food and atmosphere is well worth it. The pineapple French toast, purple potatoes and burrito are all delicious. The fresh squeezed juices are ridiculously good. This place is worth seeking out. Don’t eat at...a chain restaurant, support the local places, it won’t disappointMore

They charge a 5% kitchen / sanitation fee, of course they do. Bathrooms are outside of the restaurant. It’s on the second floor above some shops. It’s a cayenne color, sided building now. Sign in your party. They will call you when you are up....Need to shower your ID and your Vax card (not on your phone) or your negative covid test result. Ordered the POG fruit drink mix, pineapple juice, Goofy Hawaiian omelet, morning power salad and Rob Machado Açaí bowl. I wanted the bibimbap, but it’s only 9am here. There’s a small finch trying to find some food inside. The juices aren’t fresh squeezed at all. Açaí bowl is yummy. The honey, granola? Cocoa nibs, PB, fruit are a nice melody. The goofy Hawaiian omelet was good. The sausage pieces are big chunks. The taro English muffin is still dry even with just butter. The morning house salad is pretty good, they were out of pearl radishes and thus gave me more of the avocados instead, that’s cool by me, since avocados are always yummy. Dressing isn’t too bad. The açaí bowl is the best part of breakfast. Service was okay.More

We have walked past this restaurant many, many times. From the outside, it is very unassuming. But when I went looking for recommendations for authentic good Hawaiian food, many reviews pointed to the Goofy Cafe & Diner. Specifically, the thing folks said to get was...the Kalua Pork Eggs Benedict ON a Taro Muffin, and a side substitute of fresh Pineapple. They were right. My wife and I split the Kalua Pork Eggs Benedict with Taro Muffin. The flavors were perfect. The reviews were right. To drink, my wife had their Maui Blend Ice Coffee, and she added the liquified raw sugar and some cream. Perfect. No bitterness at all. Just great flavor. The wait staff was friendly and helpful. They suggested next time we try the 'local corn fried rice.' This is truly one of those rare finds left in Honolulu where you can still get great local Hawaiian food. We will be back. 👍🏻More

We had to wait about 30 minutes for a table, as we expected since it’s very small and popular. The waiters were friendly and they worked well as a team to take care of the customers. The mixed berry french toast was amazing! It was...a relaxed atmosphere and a great experience.More
