I don't believe they accept reservations here but the wait was only about 15-20 minutes for breakfast at around 10 am. As expected, it's pricy here but most meals include juice and coffee/tea. The lox board was delicious, service from the bussers was great (always refilling water and taking dirty plates away quickly.) Our main server was a bit slow coming over to take our order, especially after dropping the bill off we waited quite a while to pay. My breakfast was delicious though and I really loved the atmosphere, so I'll be back on my next visit to Waikiki.

For the second year in a row my daughter and I enjoyed afternoon tea on the Verandah while vacationing in Waikiki. It is such a beautiful setting overlooking the beach and the beautiful blue water. The food is delicious and so beautifully presented. We enjoyed a variety of small finger sandwiches and tarts and beautiful bite-size desserts including scones and jam. The teas were delicious and complimented the food. We enjoyed watching a number of little girls having a grown-up tea party with other family members. This was again such a special afternoon treat for us and we look forward to having tea there again in the future.

Wonderful ambiance, music, hospitality. Great for drinks and light dinner and enjoy the music. The hostess Sandi is a great asset to the hotel and was very kind and thoughtful. Gwen was a very busy but attentive server. Very enjoyable.

We spent an evening here because a friend of ours, Eric Lee, was the nightly entertainment. He's terrific. Weirdest bar menu I have ever seen. Caviar for $200 in a lounge? No bar food at all and $22 for a Mai Tai.

We went to the Veranda for the afternoon tea. The service was perfect thanks to DAREN. We spent an exquisite moment and a delicious tea-time. A must to do in Hawaii.

First of all they have some of best topical drinks on Oahu. Second they have great mai ti’s . Third they have good hot tea. Lastly, the people who work here are very nice.

We have had afternoon tea at the Veranda before and really enjoyed it. This time we went with the family and took a friend as a christmas present. However we were very disappointed. First of all we went with my daughter who is gluten free. There was ABSOLUTELY NOTHING on the menu for gluten free people. We were told if we had ordered 24 hours in advance we could have had something. But there wasn't a salad or a cracker or a piece of cheese anywhere that they could provide her with to eat. She had one tiny piece of chocolate and sat and watched us eat all the wonderful delicacies. Seriously?? You can't have something frozen that you pull out? or make the tiny sandwiches on gluten free crackers? or have some other menu item available? Seriously she had to WATCH us eat? In this day and age ind in an upscale place like this, CERTAINLY they can do better. Secondly compared to the first time we were there, they gave us teapots filled only half full with lukewarm water. The obligingly refilled them with more lukewarm water when we asked but the tea was weak and not very flavorful, compared with he first time we were there a year ago when we had the best tea we had ever tasted. For the exorbitant price we paid this was a big disappointment.

We experienced The Veranda in three occasions, for afternoon tea, drinks and dinner. The afternoon tea was lovely even though we couldn't get a table on the veranda. The small dishes were delicious and so was the tea. The next night we had drinks overlooking the lagoon in a warm evening night. We were happy with our drinks and appetizers. It's a great place to relax after a full day. Our last night we decided to have dinner at The Veranda since we were already there having drinks. The sushi dish was really good! Thick cuts of fresh fish! In all three occasions the service was great!

Loved the Veranda every time we ate or had drinks. They make some delicious non-alcoholic drinks and the food was great every time. Hostess was friendly and accommodating to our needs and wishes and the service was over the top and friendly every time. Kahala has great places to eat, and this is one of them. In fact ALL of them are the same: great delicious food, great service, great ambiance.

I found this resort on Trip Advisor and so glad we did. We wanted to come to The Verandah for dinner which offers a Lounge Menu. We shared the Pupu Platter and ordered a couple of other small meals and it was plenty. We were seated on the verandah overlooking the pool and beach area with good views of the dolphin pools. The service was very efficient and the ladies very friendly. We loved the whole area and would definitely return. Highly recommended!

I have been to numerous tea services all over the world. The afternoon tea served at the Veranda, located at the Kahala hotel and resort, is by far my least favorite.
Tea service starts at $50-, with tax/tip you are spending around $63-
The quality of the mini desserts was above average for desserts on the island of Oahu; however, the scones crumbled with the slightest touch, they were too brittle/dry and the mini sandwiches were average. The clotted cream melted instantly in the heat.
Service was stoic at best. We were rushed out due to the staff's desire to set up for a larger group.
The dolphins on the property are lovely to watch.
Parking is free when validated in the restaurant.

had one dinner on the veranda and we felt so spoiled! The wait staff were amazing and we had small plates and cocktails while listening to the piano. more Hawaiian music would be a terrific upgrade if possible!
