Great meal and top notch service, just what we needed after traveling all day from the east coast. Paulo, our waiter, went above and beyond to insure that we had a great meal. Took the time to chat with us and to recommend some hidden gems in Waikiki. My spaghetti with clams was delicious and my husband felt the same about his Margarita pizza. Like everything else in Honolulu, the meal was a bit on the pricey side but you don’t mind paying for excellence.

It's a popular restaurant, so of course I made a reservation. but! I told them I had a reservation, and even though I gave my name, they didn't let me through at all, and I wasn't shown around even 15 minutes after the reservation time, and it was just so crowded with people. Just when I thought it was almost 30 minutes, my name was called and I was seated. Even though I had made a reservation in Japan, the seats were at the very end of the terrace, as if they had been added temporarily. Great food, poor staff

Went here as a couple. Starter was served fine. Then it got to the mains and he received his steak and there was no mention of my carbonara. We had a different waiter drop down his main than we had serving our starter. Then neither waiter could be seen. We waited and waited and waited and eventually we were able to flag a waiter down to ask what the story was with my main course. He said he’d check it out but minutes later he was seen serving the people beside us and ignoring our request. We still could not find either waiter that served us so eventually my partner had to get up off his chair and go find a waiter to explain the situation. We waited another 5 minutes and finally a different waiter came down to apologize that the chef had cracked the egg into my carbonara and had to start making it all over again. By the time my food arrived my partner was finished his. They were apologetic only after my food arrived, completely ruined the whole experience of eating out together. Shame because the food was tasty.

Really mixed feelings. Arrived for an early dinner on a Saturday. Asked the staff member at the door if there was gluten free meals, to be told almost all of the pastas can be made gluten free. (Bit of context we ran an Italian so had a fairly decent idea about what we could have) Was told a 5 minute wait which was perfectly fine, even got to go in a bit sooner. Drinks order taken nice and quick and drinks arrived nice and fast. Tried to order one of the bolognese (gluten free) and one of the “owner’s favourite” pizza. Instantly our waiter Paulo seemed bothered about one of us being gluten free, as if it was an inconvenience to him. Off he went to place the order, came back almost instantly and we thought very abruptly and rudely said that it’s not possible to have it gluten free as the sauce contains gluten. Still now neither of us can figure out what or why it’s there. Anyway decided to just order the pizza and get food else where after. Food arrived soon and was pleasant. However at this point we were both pretty bored of feeling like an inconvenience/ pain. Finished food then got cleared and our waiter said instantly about the check, no offer of coffee or dessert. However had seen they did a home made tiramisu which is a favourite so had to order, opted for a take away and this was fantastic.

Worth the try. First time I had the chef's tasting menu which I really liked. They were even able to keep the small portion on steak at medium rare. Second time got the lasagna which was also good. Also had the creme brulee. Friends said the tiramisu was delicious too. I gave him mine when I had the tasting menu because I never like tiramisu.

The food is excellent albeit the price is a little high for what it is. Service is ok but just a few very minor points in that we ordered a side salad with our main dish and this did not arrive unit 7 mins after the main dish had been brought to the table. Just hold the main dish back until its all ready to bring to the table thats an easy one to solve and get right. Also we ordered coffee to finish and to then have small half and half cream pods to put in the coffee I found to be a real let down to an otherwise nice meal. If your doing things with style then a small jug of real creme with a coffee goes a long way and gives it that real coffee touch rather than something from the airport side trolly.

Awful Service and overpriced food

We used to love to go to this restaurant. The food is good. Unfortunately, on this visit the service was absolutely awful. Food took about 2 hours to come. The wrong food was brought and then different foods including the soup came after dinner. It was nothing but a disaster. After 3 hours and spending over 200 dollars on 3 dinners we were nothing but irritated. Twice the manager stopped by and promised the food was coming during the three hours but nothing changed or happened. This place is very popular for the Japanese tourists so I think they just want to cater to them. Don't even bother!!

Very good Italian option around Waikiki

Very nice meal with great service. We had late evening reservation and showed up earlier for a chance to be seated. Hostess was very helpful and was able to accommodate our very early arrival. Food quality and service was very good. Probably one of the best pizza we’ve had outside of Italy albeit a bit pricey ($33) Definitely would recommend if you’re looking for Italian around Waikiki beach area.

My husband and I visited Arancino di Mare last week during our honeymoon and had an awful experience. The service lacked. My husband received the wrong meal. The waitress asked if he wanted it fixed and said she’d talk to her manager. She came back with our check and didn’t acknowledge his wrong meal. The manager never came over, nothing was comped, etc. the waitress asked if I wanted another soda while I was halfway done with my meal, then didn’t bring it over until after we received our check. This is unfortunate because we were looking forward to some Italian food. Portions were not large by any means and prices were high for the amount of food given.

Sometimes the best way to get the measure of a restaurant is how it handles large groups. We, a group of 14, had dinner here last Thursday evening and it was the best dining experience of our 8 night stay in Waikiki. Great atmosphere, very fast, attentive and friendly service, and excellent food - all delivered promptly and flawlessly.

We eat here every time we are in Honolulu. Jess was incredible. We opted for the price fixed dinner with wine pairing - worth the price. We had outdoor seating so we could hear the ocean and enjoy the weather. The menu varies we we shared the tagliatelle alla bolognese, always one of our favorites as well as the spaghetti alla carbonara .. Pasta was done PERFECTLY! Everything cooked to order, served hot, staff INCREDIBLE. Highly recommend - exceptional food, great experience, very reasonably priced.

Food was delicious! And its presentation is an added factor 😊 We had dinner to crlebrate my baby’s birthday and I was happy to see her smile at the very first bite. The servers are very attentive too and need not to call their attention for any other requests we needed. Dining out to this place made our Hawaii vacation even more special. We’ll surely come back!

Just not great Italian

So this place is neatly tucked within the Marriott block, sidewalk seating, looks very appealing. Unfortunately, as the saying goes, Looks can be deceiving. The location is good, space nice, and our waiter attentive, but at the end of the day it’s about the food. My wife got a pizza that came out with wimpy crust… images more forehand am, I’d have sent it back. I got some that sounded rather unique, pasta rigatoni done inside a cheese wheel. Most of the taste was from the peppercorn and the pasta was lukewarm very quickly… basically not very tasty. Pricing was above average too, making this a PASS as a resort others.
