So many choices: American? Japanese? Daily specials? Prime rib is good, so are pork chops. Fresh caught fish prepared so many different ways! And fresh baked pies to end the meal on a homestyle high!

Sat my wife & I right by the kitchen & restroom. Dining room was only half full. Noise from kitchen staff laughing & talking & the restroom crowd was terrible. Food/ miso butterfish/ 24.00 was a joke. Fish was 2-3 ounces & tasteless. Shrimp was hard & dry. We were rushed by waitress. Will tell all my friends & relatives... More

Love this place for breakfast! Awesome Eggs Benedict (best on the island), great waffles (try it! - it's crispy), and great prime rib breakfast. But they need to improve lunch and dinner menus for me to go there for lunch or dinner.

An old school local-style coffee shop restaurant with a surprisingly large menu. Also serves beer and wine. We had the California Club Sandwich (turkey, bacon and avocado on toasted wheat), the Oxtail Stew, and the Misoyaki Butterfish. For dessert we had the pumpkin crunch which was really good, the desserts were fresh made. It was a little dark inside but... More

Not much new about it. A friendlier, younger greeter, the place is darker and now has unpleasant loud sounds (not music) from the ceiling. The benches in the booths are still worn out and uncomfortable, the chairs are still the same old. The service leaves a good deal to be desired. We waited 15 minutes from the time we ordered... This is an old-established, comfort food restaurant with American and Japanese menu. It's a rare place that offers a real Japanese breakfast. It usually offers acceptable to even good-tasting meals. Maybe because it was a late lunch, but my broiled ono fish was dry. The butter caper sauce was congealed. The mashed potato was blandly tasteless. Service took a long... More

Need breakfast a meal en route to the airport? New Eagle is a decent option. Large portions for moderate prices mean a good value. Last stop at New Eagle was for breakfast: the eggs benedict were done just right, and also available in a half (one egg) portion. My colleague had a large platter of eggs, but was particularly impressed... More

New Eagle Cafe isn't as good as it was when the original owners ran the place. I've eaten here a couple of times since the new owners took over and I walked out of there very disappointed. The food lacked taste, was oily and wasn't a pleasant experience. I rarely leave food on my plate and I couldn't finish my... More

Nice place at a great price. With Hawaii being expensive it is nice to find the hole in the wall spots at reasonable prices. Service was quick and friendly.

The saimin they serve hits the spot if you want a soup and noodle dish for lunch. It includes slices of meat, vegetables, and some green garnish like green onions or cilantro. My lunch partners had the special of the day (each day has a different variety of dishes) and a sandwich. The portions are huge, the food is really... More
