I took my wife to Roy's in Hawaii Kai and we were treated to good service and even better food! For those of you visiting Oahu, make the drive outside Waikiki, it worth it! We called in the morning to make a reservation. A typical Saturday evening meal - 645 pm We started out with drinks and appetizers. I enjoyed a... More

What a great fresh and original seafood excellent this was. The fresh ahi tuna melted in your mouth. We had the butterfish that was very rich and amazing. We also had the opah that was our very favorite with amazing sauces. Wonderful dining experience with a beautiful presentation.

Haven't been to Roy's in years, but took friends and family while visiting. The food continues to delight and the service is friendly. Their pupu platter was great to share and sample their fares. Although I'm not a fish person, those having their butterfish were very happy. A nice evening for special guests.

Roy's has to be one of the best restaurants I have ever had the pleasure to dine at. The food is spectacular. Plus, the service is second to none. Not to mention the view of the Pacific and Diamond Head was amazing.

No matter where we visit a Roy's we never leave disappointed. The Hawaii Kai location is considered the original Roy's location and has not only drop-dead food but a drop-dead view to match. You are going to find a much better view at this location than at the Waikiki location. The food is always great and this is one of... More

Four of us ate dinner at the Waikiki restaurant. The food was excellent! Our server was far more knowledgeable than we would have expected, providing intricate details of each plate we were interested in. The blackened ahi was perfectly prepared and included exceptional sauces and vegetables. We chose pineapple upside down cake to share as a dessert, and it was... More

We love love love Roy's Hawaii Kai. We have a tradition of dining at Roy's for our anniversary. We have been to many different locations but this one is our favorite. Last night's dinner was definitely one of the best! One of the reasons it was so good and memorable is our server, Stacey S. She is a pro, exactly... More

The food was - as expected - solid and in line with the prices. Well prepared, good flavors, nicely executed. The misoyaki butterfish is definitely worth a try, and everything else was good. Are you noticing I'm almost yawning? Yeah, I was expecting more. Nothing wrong, flavors were spot on, etc. etc. etc. Nothing blew me away, though. If this... More

The food at this restaurant was fresh and innovative. We were a big group and the service was good. The restaurant is located across the street from the beach. However, it was difficult to find and they need more signs out in the parking lot.

The best meal we had was the hamachi sashimi. Very tasty and nicely presented. The other items we had were crab cakes-OK, caesura salad-good, tai snapper-very good, butterfish misoyaki-too much shoyu, lamb-good but too much frilly stuff. Out server was excellent. She was very informative and personable.
