A little Irish for you.

We visit Murphy's for the restaurant, which is bright, clean, comfortable, with Irish ambiance, and the food is excellent - as close to home made as you can get. It's in a brick building built in the late 1800's that gives it even more charm. It was once featured on "Diners, Drive-in's and... read more

Who would have guessed you'd find a bar and restaurant every bit as inviting as a seat at Cheers in the heart of Honolulu. Well it's Murphy's - a stalwart and standout place to get great food and a great pint (or three). We've been coming for years and the consistency and warm welcome will keep us coming back.

Came off a cruise ship and enjoyed something different. Good food and good cold beer and a short walk from the ship.

We had to meet someone here for lunch. Standard fare, I had a cheese burger with fries. I wanted the "Blarney Buger" but they did not have the Irish cheese for it. Washed it down with a couple of pints (American pints) of a local brew. It's split into a restaurant area and a bar area; we were in the... More

Good Guinness although it was poured way too fast. The food is decent. I had a Guinness burger that was rather plain. My burgers at home are better. My wife had fish and chips. I swear, the fish looked like it came out of a Groton's box from the freezer. I like the ambiance of the place. But don't eat... More

Ate there with a client while in town on business. The place was packed but we had a reservation so we didn't wait long. He had the salmon Cesar salad, which was "fine", and I had the shepherd's pie, which was also just ok. They use cubes of beef, where I prefer ground beef. I would probably go back for... More

"Everybody loves the Irish" is a truism that must have come about because of Irish bars like Murphy's. You'll get the warm Irish welcome once you step inside this little slice of the old world floating on an island on the other side of the world from the land of fairies and pitch black beer. But this is not just... More

We were there in Jan/2015, with 2 other couples. got there around 6pm. The place was almost empty. I had the Guinness beer. Chad our waiter was super. His service was supper. By 7pm, the place was packed, and Chad still had time to replenish our drinks and food. the Shepard's pie is great!! At least I thought so. We... More

My husband used to visit Murphy's every weekend when he was stationed in Hawai'i, so we HAD to go. The food was traditional Irish and I enjoyed the Shepherd's Pie. The Guinness is just perfect and they serve it correctly in the bar with the Shamrock on the top :) Wonderful atmosphere and the decor looks straight from Ireland. They... More

My two favorite all time food is Burgers and they offer properly poured Guinness :) I'm really the happiest person with these two things and they're done impeccably well at Murphy's. Not to mention the option of eating Hawaii's best Corned beef and Cabbage. I also highly recommend their wings (honestly it's one of the best I EVER had), Bread... More
