Hoku's is a very unusual discovery for Hawaii. The food is superbly prepared and presented. The room is lovely and quiet and the tables are widely spaced. While the ala carte prices can be high, there is a $75 four course prix fixe menu, which is a real bargain. And if a surfer dude named Bob is your waiter, you'll... More

Very good food in a very nice setting. Wonderful view of the ocean! We had roasted lobster and it was probably the best I have ever had.

We ate at Hoku's twice during our recent stay at Kahala Hotel. The food was lovely, service was very good and they were very accommodating of my gluten free requirement.I thoroughly recommend Hoku’s Dark Chocolate Coulant with Berry Consommé and Vanilla Bean Ice Cream - one of the best desserts I've had in a long time. Save room for it!

We went to Sunday brunch to celebrate our anniversary and son's birthday. We were able to get a last minute reservation, arrived early and was able to be seated right away. Gorgeous ocean view table. Service was excellent, friendly, professional staff that caters to you and calls you by your name. Buffet is outstanding. Quality, taste, freshness of the food... More

We have been to Hoku's a few times before. Every time we go we try something different and each time the meal is amazing. The service, the view and the meal are all about the best you can ever imagine. Last night was my wife's birthday and our 28th anniversary. We meet our dear friends Jim and Stan there for... More

Came here for a romantic dinner after renewing our wedding vows at the beach. This restaurant was the perfect venue for a celebratory meal. Our server was quite attentive and the food we had was oh so delish. Yes this place is pricey but for a special occasion money concerns is not thought of. We had a great time. It's... More

I cannot say enough about this place! I've been to many many 5 star restaurants and HOKU'S deserves 10 STARS! It was a surprise visit from my LOVE as one of the many experiences she had planned for my trip to Hawaii.....from the moment we entered to the presentation to the service (impeccable) to the dessert and it was topped... We both had the degustation menu with paired wines and the selections were prepared beautifully. Usually when we order the multi course dinners like this, the portions are appropriate. This time each course was of normal size. For us it was too much food. Good for some though. The staff was spread too thin and we felt that our service... More

Great restauraNt with unique food and terrific views. Nice service in a casual environment. If you are in kahala area it's worth a visit. If not, I'm not sure it's worth the trip

Hoku's at The Kahala Hotel & Resort is heralded for its innovative fusion fare which melds Hawaiian, Asian, Mediterranean and European flavors. The restaurant's twist on contemporary Island cuisine ensures that it is consistently ranked as one of Hawaii's best restaurants. Hoku's has a breathtaking beach-side setting with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean from every table in the multi-level dining room. Also competing for guest's attention is the open kitchen featuring fiery hot woks, a kiawe wood grill, and tandoori and wood-burning ovens.
