Had the Prix Fixe menu and it was outstanding. The wine list had so many great choices it was easy to pair with dinner. Chris was our waiter and he was genuinely cheerful and gracious making sure on a not too frequent basis our needs were met.

The Tasting Menu is spectacular and would thoroughly recommend. The wine list is extensive. Lisa our server was amazing, knowledgeable and very charming. Everything was delicious. Eat here - you will not regret it!

My wife arranged for a breakfast brunch with some of my friends. We had a great experience! The seafood buffet was excellent... the ahi was fresh, the Maine lobster was delicious and the Alaskan snow crab was to die for. Surprising enough the most talked about item was the baked almond croissant, a croissant cut in half and baked with... More

I had a business dinner at Hoku's and the setting and meal were outstanding. Quiet surroundings and the wait staff are attentive and extremely accommodating. We ordered the ahi poke musubi. Wow. The rice is crunchy on the outside with fresh ahi in the inside. I had the red wine teriyaki prawns and that too was delicious. Overall a great... More

This restaurant was our special treat while on Oahu. It did not disappoint!! The food, wine and views were unbelievable. The service was exactly what you would expect at a fine dining restaurant and it did not feel like a hotel restaurant at all. Do not miss this gem!

Hoku's was the culinary highlight of our stay at the Kahala. The restaurant is located just to the right of the main lobby and does have a dress code (important because all of the other places on site are resort casual). Our group ordered from the Prix-Fixe menu which was a really good deal if you are interested in multiple... More

First off, I will come out and say that I was wearing an Aloha shirt, dress watch, chino shorts, leather slippers...tasteful resort wear, basically (in my opinion). The 1 star rating is for the poor communication amongst the staff. We walked into the restaurant, no hostess. We proceed to the bar, where 2 bartenders did not acknowledge us until we... More

Hoku's is a very unusual discovery for Hawaii. The food is superbly prepared and presented. The room is lovely and quiet and the tables are widely spaced. While the ala carte prices can be high, there is a $75 four course prix fixe menu, which is a real bargain. And if a surfer dude named Bob is your waiter, you'll... More
