There wasn't much to choose from on the menu. The restaurant was incredibly small. We walked from the zoo to this restaurant. It was quite a hike but well worth it. I picked a soup off of the menu. I'm sure it was obvious to the staff there that we didn't know what we were ordering, but they explained everything... More

Lovely people and very organized. No frills dining but the real deal! Love their salted meat watercress soups and pulled pork! Though busy, they take the time to explain what each dish is and how to eat it! Throwing in a bonus sample size of poi for people who are visiting for the first time! Always our top choice for... Don't be put off by the building. Best Kalua Pig in Honolulu according to local patrons. We love it. There is a long line at noon go later

We had lunch here and it was amazing food. We had their combination plate that lets you try the various local specialities. It was absolutely great. The prices are very decent too. They do not serve alcohol, but allow you to bring it in. Three is a store across where you can get something and bring it in.

I thought the menu was pretty limited. I usually never go to Hawaiian food restaurants because I have only ever had my grandmas. I tried to order Portuguese sausage for lunch but they were already out. My boyfriend ordered Chicken Lau Lau and I Chicken long rice soup. I thought my soup was great and my boyfriend wasn't a fan... More

Our hotel was a 2 mile walk from the restuarant and it was every bit worth it. We had the pork lau lau plate and kalua pig plate and with all the extras it was alot of food. I had tried poi before and didn't like it but with the kalua pig it was awesome. The owner said we had... More

We visit here each time we visit Oahu and have always left pleasantly full and happy. My husband and I enjoy the kalua pig and laulau while our kids are huge fans of the chicken long rice and sweet potatoes. The haupia is always a sweet ending to a beautiful meal.

Saw this on a local PBS tour and worth the Uber ride off the main drag. Smaller menu, but everyone enjoyed our meal. Came in late so not busy and the staff sat with us and talked about the area. If you are at the end of the day, you can run across the street to grab a six pack... More

We had the combo plate and an order of poke (ahi) for two of us and couldn't eat it all. Food was delicious, atmosphere was relaxed and a lot more fun and local than all the resorts. The service was very good and kind. Loved the experience. Visited on a Tuesday at lunch and managed straight in without waiting.

My wife and I ate here on a recommendation from our hotel; we wanted authentic hawaiian food during our vacation. Ono's did not disappoint... we let them know we were tourists, and they asked a couple of questions about what we liked and suggested the hua hua meal. we ordered the chicken version and it was delicious. The only things... More
