Came here for lunch and as always the food was fabulous. We had the combination plate which had lau lau and kalua pig, lomi lomi and more, so good. Every time we visit the islands we stop by and every time food is fabulous.

Awesome food and an authentic experience. Go early as they can run out toward the end of the night. We were able to get the very last combo plate (highly recommend). Our waiter gave us quick tips on the best way to eat. The place is small but the line moves quickly. It's worth it.

You probably know to expect a tiny place that looks like your uncle's basement recreation room. And of course that's Ono's charm. Approximately 18-20 seats and always a line up. But don't be put off by that, the tables turn over very quickly the service is fast and the people who serve are ready to help with recommendations. The food... More

Ok yes its a dive, but I love dives. It has some of the most authentic Hawaiian food in town and the place is frequented mostly by locals. Kalua Pig, Lau Lau, Lomi Salmon, Poi they have it all...

To be in downtown, this place keeps the authentic hawaii vibe which i love!! it really is hard to get a restaurant downtown with the classic food, service, and locals! i've been to hawaii for 4 straight years now and everytime i go it never leave dissatsified! the waitress will also tell you "how" to prepare and eat the food... This was my first time eating the local Hawaiian Foods. I ordered the combination packet on the menu. The owners were really friendly and explained to us how to eat the local foods. The taste of the foods were amazing. Try Poi (made from Taro) if possible since it has the unique taste). Definitely will go back if I ever... More

The 5 is for the lau lau! On our second visit to the islands (first to Oahu), we continued our search for a great lau lau. Ono Hawaiian Foods has the best one, so far. We started out ordering 2 until we saw one at the table next to us (huge) and changed to 1 and an order of Kalua... More

I have no idea how this place got such good reviews. This is the worst food I ever had. The place smells terrible and food is extremely small portion. For $18 you get pretty much nothing. Dishes and cups look very dirty. I was hoping to try some real authentic Hawaiian food, but this restaurant is not it. There is... More

We went by mistake to this restaurant but glad to. We were served by some very nice and friendly people. The food was definitively right fantastic Poe and the rest. Well worth queuing for if needed.

Visited in August 2016 for a late lunch. What I liked about this restaurant: - Authentic Hawaiian cuisine. - Unpretentious, home-style food at a fair price. - "Plate" dishes let you sample a variety of items. What could have been better: - The Laulau Plate wasn't available (they had sold out of laulau). - Kalua pork was very fatty. -... More
