We went by mistake to this restaurant but glad to. We were served by some very nice and friendly people. The food was definitively right fantastic Poe and the rest. Well worth queuing for if needed.

Visited in August 2016 for a late lunch. What I liked about this restaurant: - Authentic Hawaiian cuisine. - Unpretentious, home-style food at a fair price. - "Plate" dishes let you sample a variety of items. What could have been better: - The Laulau Plate wasn't available (they had sold out of laulau). - Kalua pork was very fatty. -... More

We went because of good reviews on Yelp and I have to say I was disgusted and dissapointed! Whe you walk in it smells like a retirement home. Then it is dirty, gross, not clean at all. I didn't want to stay but we stayed hoping the hole in the wall would follow through wth those great Yelp reviews but... More

This is the place where we like to take our our-of-town friends to. The food lives up to the quality in its name. Our favorites are squid luau, chicken long rice, kalua pork, lomi salmon, and short rib soup with waterctess.

The combination plate is an easy choice for an introduction to Hawaiian food. Tastes good. Love the coconut jello.

A favorite for locals. Not fancy, old decrepit building. Hard to find street parking. Bathroom always has out of order sign for years, but its working and you can use. All the old style Hawaiian foods are available. Best for take out

Enjoyed our visit here - people who worked there were very friendly and explained every item on the menu. We got a good general introduction to Hawaiian food - loved the pork, chicken, dried beef, rice, and haupia (coconut pudding.) Not so much the poi :-) But so glad we got a chance to try it!

A local Hawaiian recommended this restaurant to me on my first visit to Honolulu. I went for dinner with a friend and we had no idea what to expect. The restaurant is pretty small inside so we had to wait outside until a table was ready. The wait was well worth it! The staff was very helpful and friendly. They... More

We always hit Ono at least once when in Waikiki. It is not fancy but has great Hawaiian food, and it's hard to pick one but this is one of about 3 of our favorites there. The thing we go for is the pork Lau Lau. It is excellent and you should try it. Get the combination plate, which is... More

I've walked past this place for years. Finally stopped in for lunch. The staff was very helpful when learning this was my first time. Explained what everything was and even how to season and eat it! We got right in, no wait but others behind us did. Will definitely put this high on my list of places to revisit on... More
