Temple rolls are my favorite. Cant find those anywhere on this island. Best Pho and lemon grass chicken. I highly recommend this place.

There are definitely some places better than H.V. nationwide but this restaurant is at least in the top two on this island. Still, I rank it in the top 10 in the U.S, if not worldwide, excluding Asia. Prices for Vietnamese have gone up and...HV is in line. The food quality is excellent on a consistent basis--always fresh. There might be a few misses on the menu, but that's merely personal preference. HV has been around for 30 yrs or so; I have been a customer ever since.More

I have eaten two different dishes at Hale Vietnam Restaurant in Honolulu. Their chicken curry was good; however, overpriced and you must order rice in addition...$15.95 PLUS an additional $1.50 for rice= $17.45 before tax and tip, for Vietnamese curry? That is crazy to me....Their lemon grass chicken was below average.More

We wanted to have loco foods even though we are one of the typical family tourists. The pho was really good with all the side veggies served, which is not popular in my country. The restaurant was packed even though it was past 13:00; but...because of visiting outside of the peak time, we were lucky to not be in a waiting line. The Imperial Roll, Vietnamese roll, was also excellent.More

Love this place. Super efficient. Amazing service from ALL staff but my heart goes out to Nelli. She is amazing. She has eyes everywhere and a quick hand. Come see me in Maui for breakfast at Montage! ❤️ The food.. everything is so fresh and...you watch the steam from every dish served around you. I will come back and order the whole menu again! So fresh.More

We frequent this place because the Pho is so addictive. The ingredients are the freshest, the flavors sublime. All their dishes are very good, especially the Vermicelli bowl, but most days we end up craving and ordering the Pho. There are other decent Vietnamese restaurants...In Kaimuki but this is head and shoulders above the rest. Don’t miss the deserts either, way better than gelato next door, IMO..More

Came here with my family for the beef and chicken Pho which were large in portion and very tasty broth. The owners and staff were in amazement as we slurped our way through the meal and crispy spring roll appetizers. pricing was very reasonable. Just...be careful about parking in the area which can be very tight.More

This is a good restaurant for a family or group. It is casual. The food is good (not superb, but good value). Service was good (very prompt).

This is an old standby in Honolulu. Almost 30 years ago when it opened, it was a great addition in Kaimuki but now there are many more, and much better, restaurants
