A return visit to this popular seafood restaurant. Very crowded on Friday night but not overly noisy so it was possible to enjoy the meal and have a nice conversation. The service was very professional and helpful with dish selections. The mixed green dish in garlic was cooked perfectly with no overpowering garlic taste. The lobster was done perfectly and had an excellent taste - highly recommended! The prawns with walnuts was also superb. Overall a most satisfying dinner.

Our go to spot. We had scallop soup, salt/pepper Dungeness crab, garlic better lobster, honey wall nut shrimp, peking duck, stir fry mixed veggies and spinach with garlic, mapo tofu and yang chow fried rice! We ate it all and will come back sgain. Warning to call ahead for reservations becuase there's always a line waiting for a table.

An old-style Chinese restaurant- a big room, lots of close tables (big and small), lots of experienced and helpful waiters . Excellent food from the big menu plus a well- priced lobster special with your choice of tasty sauces. Full of families and friends enjoying it all. Full bar. Everything is fresh and hot. Not much on decor but nobody notices.

We were experiencing a relatively pleasant evening with ok Chinese food that was literally ruined when the most unpleasant waiter award was given to the guy that served us. When we went to pay he insisted that our tip wasn’t adequate. As far as I know, the customer is still in charge of tipping, not the waiter!! How dare them expect customers to tip them based on threatening behaviour. I mentioned this to the women who sits at the entry (owner)? and she made no attempt whatsoever to show understanding. Like I said in the heading, there are many better places to spend your hard earned money in Waikiki.

I was invited to a celebration dinner and the host ordered only seafood, no meats or chicken! We had Dungeness crab, salt pepper shrimp, black bean lobster, steamed fish and garlic clams. Finally the last dish was salty fish fried rice!!! All washed down with Tsingtao!! What a seafood feast!!! Go early and get the fresh fish before they sell out!!!

This was one of the best meals we had on the island! If you want authentic, delicious, reasonable food, look no further. A family with two teens, this restaurant gave us all that we were looking for and more. The sizzling shrimp were incredible, and so was the lobster with black beans sauce. A must-do in Oahu!

The lobster was delicious. The price is also low. I went during opening hours in the evening and could get in without waiting. But finding a parking space in front of the store took more work. The server was friendly, and the food was delicious.

Food may be alright (?) but we never got to experience it. So here's the story: We reserved a table for nine people the night before, all's good. We showed up and the front counter lady was the rudest person ever. Me: Hello, we have a reservation at 8PM under the name xxx. Woman: what? we don't have your reservation Me: No way, I reserved last night. Look, here's the phone record for 5 minutes with your restaurant. Woman: (rudely with raised voice) I DON'T HAVE YOU DOWN! WHAT YOU DON'T BELEIVE ME?? TAKE A LOOK YOURSELF!! (throws the reservation book at me). YESTERDAY WAS NOT MY SHIFT! Me: (Stunned) What do you mean not your shift? does it matter?? I know I made the reservation I have the phone record. Woman: I DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED. WE JUST DON'T HAVE YOUR RESERVATION. YOU CAN WAIT FOR THE NEXT AVAILABLE TABLE IF YOU WANT.(attitude + eye roll) Me: How long's the wait? Woman: I DON'T KNOW. (turns around and leaves) So there. If you read the negative reviews, it's always about the staff not the food. If you go, try not to let them ruin your experience. Good luck and aloha.

After the Taxi driver talked US out of Dim Sum, he sent US to Fook Yuen & that’s exactly how we got treated!! Acted as if taking the drink order was the Tasks he didn’t want! Next came the White fried rice?? Fried and it’s white as if Uncle Ben just poured it out on the table! No sauce with anything but the duck!! If you not then Stay away!! The lobster tank is disgusting

Every. Single. Time. I go back home to visit, it's a tradition to wrap up the trip with a dinner at Fook Yuen...and it never disappoints. I am a huge lobster lover, which is the main draw here...you simply can't beat their lobster deal- it's gone up in $ over the years but currently $19.99 I think? (with the purchase of another entree of course). But...everything else is just SO yummy here. This last dinner, we started with the seafood and tofu soup (ask for white pepper and red vinegar to drizzle on it...*chef's kiss*), followed by lobster (we went with the dry preparation: ginger/garlic/scallion), Pei-Pa tofu (one of their specialties, tofu braised or fried on top of spinach), and their sizzling beef tenderloin platter. Ended the meal with a almond tofu dessert. This was the perfect amount for 3 people - we ended up walking up stuffed but not to the point of being uncomfortably so/about to explode (we all know the feeling!) I'm drooling just thinking about the meal. THIS is how a Chinese restaurant should be, food-wise, always.

We. were hungry for Chinese food. I was close to our condo. It is in a strip mall on the second floor. Good parking and even an elevator. I swear that we were the only non Chinese and tourists in the place. We made reservations and glad that we did. The place filled up fast and we know why! Good service and great food . There is an Lobster tank near the entrance that had more lobsters than I have ever seen! Try it!

Decent flavors (compared to Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore) in most dishes. Cannot and should not be classified as Panda Express variety of Americanized Chinese food.

If you need a local spot for late night eats, this is your place! We had the lobster, seafood noodles, fried rice, and ginger chicken and everything was delicious. The service is super fast and they are open 24 hours.

Recommend as a family restaurant and reasonably priced which it is. It was very busy and the service was poor. Not the cleanest place toilets disgusting. Lobster was OK the rest of the food passable.
