We arrived by local bus and after sampling Giovani's shrimp's and The delicious crepes we had coffee here. Very quaint little place and the best coffee ever for around $2. Its all organic. Be sure to check the toilet out at rear of the establishment....It was worth the long journey up here as the scenery along the way is pleasant and the small village is worth a visit and has plenty of eateries and souvenir shops. Also pass turtle bay were you may see turtles.More

Be sure to visit the Lion Coffee Company Roastery and Cafe when on Oahu. At this writing, two daily (free) 25 minute tours are offered, one in English & one in Japanese. Of course, check their website for a current list of offerings. Our tour...guide, Maki, was super. I was the only English speaker in my group of seven, but she made sure to offer an English explanation at key points & all the literature was multi-lingual. The coffee warehouse is maybe the best smelling room I’ve ever been in, I wonder if the coffee bean aroma grows tiresome to employees? Learned much about coffee in general, and this company specifically and all of it was interesting. Of course the cafe is great, there are many free samples for those interested (like me!) and their gift shop is super for a coffee enthusiast, plus they gave all tour participants a tiny bag of coffee and a 10% shop coupon as a parting gift. Thumbs way up! Who needs more time at the beach?More

This not a tourist attraction for everyone but for a break from the crowd, why not? It's free, there's free parking, and the guide was informative. We learned about coffee production, the history of Lion Coffee, and then we got to taste the various products...in the shop for as long as we wanted. Of course we bought up large and expect to be drinking it for the next year remembering our holiday in Hawaii.More

I drink coffee all over the world and work at a local roaster (KBay caffe) in Homer, Alaska. Tour is interesting and fun. Nice way to spend a hour

The coffee is good, but the people are better! It is a very nice place to meet people for business or for pleasure.

Lion is a local roaster of coffee. They have a store and a cafe here at this location. The coffee is really good! I like the nitro brew. It's one of the only coffees I can drink black - no sweetner! The nutty flavor is...really appealing. I usually take 2 in an 8 oz, so it's really weird that I love to drink it unsweetened. They have covered free on-premises parking inside the warehouse about a half-block to the left of the cafe itself if you are looking at the store front. It's the best place to go for a cup of coffee in Kalihi area, and I like to buy beans here too. You can take a tour of the roasting facility, but I haven't done that yet. They have an art wall that shows and sells the work of local artists. The pastries and cookies are really tasty.More

This is a fine coffee shop. Coffee beans roasted right there. Pastries, indoor parking. Very friendly. Sit down area. Latte's Mocha's, and the very best. Enjoy this one.

What a treat! Nice and cool inside, learn a bit of the history and elements involved in making coffee. Shop, taste a few samples and make your purchases. Tables for relaxing and the Iced coffee was a real treat on a hot day.

we got our brew on, from one of the oldest coffee brewers in Hawaii... free indoor parking, free, wifi, and free tastings... what more can you ask for? friendly staff to teach you a bit of lion's history on coffee. lion also has an interesting,...small selection of fusion teas. they also have various baked goods for sale. what drew me to this specific location? (it's cheaper than walmart!) everyone from home wanted a taste of kona. i had to go to the source to get a better discount... for every x amount spent, you get 15% discount off your entire purchase... with that said, if you spend over $45, you earn a free Lion Cafe shopping bag!! what a steal!!More
