Four of us were tired of Waikiki’s expensive price & touristic amount of food. But this place is something that we want! Great portion, taste, no Japanese tourist ( by the way we are 4 Japanese party), something that we wanted to experience in USA.

It should be called Seahawks Bars since that's the only team decor in there. lol Cute waitresses. Small, too loud to enjoy your game (unless you're the group making all the noise then could be fun), people smoke at the door and it fills the...More

My cuz from Kaimuki and I wanted to meet up to eat and drink, so we chose HBG. Its located on Kalakaua near Kapiolani. They serve hearty local grinds. We ordered ahi poke ($14), lechon pork chop ($19), and kim chee fried rice ($19). The...More

After closing for a few months because the kitchen staff all walked out, Home Bar has re-opened. It seems that you need to offer food with certain liquor licenses in Hawaii. Parking on the premises (small lots) is again by valet service only. The food...More

Got introduced to Home Bar from a very good friend. So happy she took us there years ago. I come here every time I'm in HI. Service is great and food is on point. There isn't anything on their menu that doesn't taste hella good.

My buddy raved about this place so we visited on a weekday night and surprising, it was crowded…would I return? Despite his stellar recommendations, probably not. He raved about the food – unfortunately, the cook did not deliver and the décor? So-so. When I walked...More

This bar is popular with "locals" (born-and-bred-in-Hawaii residents). The food, drinks, and general atmosphere is geared towards locals. This does not mean that non-locals are unwelcome. You will not feel out of place if you are not of Asian or Polynesian extraction because no one...More

Our first night in Waikiki we took a wrong turn and, instead of walking back down the way we had come, ended up walking north out of Waikiki and into - clearly - where everyday, local Honolulu began. Just as we were going to turn...More

Sure! It’s a sports bar that serves great food. I’ve seen all ages of kids there. Like the other responder, earlier is better for kids and their happy hour makes it affordable as well.
