I visited this restaurant four years ago and it was great, run by a couple older Hawaiian guys. I was aware that it had closed - and then I heard they re-opened. It is now owned by a Korean woman, very nice, and the food...is just as good and the menu is unchanged (except probably the price went up in the last four years). If you want a true Hawaiian dinner - much better than Luau food - then you should try Da Ono. It is tough to park, but we found a spot right out front. The owner was so kind and helpful and instructed us on how to eat the food. I can't imagine anyone enjoys Poi (although my son seemed to enjoy it very much with the Kalua Pork), but everything else was flavorful and we enjoyed our meal. It is a small, older restaurant with lots of Hawaiian prints on the walls, nothing fancy. Food and service are great and the price is right. The four of us shared the Kalua Pig and Lau Lau platter, the Salt Meat Watercress soup, and Short Rib Pipikaula. All were delicious.More
