Didnt actually get to eat here . Checked online and said it was open till 10. When we walked up at 8:57 one worker just rolled her eyes and turned around and walked off. Another girl walks up and says how many, we said two...and she says well its late so we really dont want to sit any more tables🙄. What???? Your open for another hour. Haven’t been here in years and decided to check it out again. Last time I checked this place out, they only had a front patio and a small inside tasting room. They’ve since expanded and opened a beer garden outside. The beer line up was...much better than I remembered. On my last visit, I only had one beer and left because nothing appealed to me. Tried three hoppy beers, a standard Hefeweizen and a blueberry Hefeweizen. Really enjoyed the hazy IPA and the standard Hefeweizen. My friend ordered some bbq chicken wings to go with his beer. Said they were good, but pricy at $16 for only 6 wings. Service was prompt and friendly. Always there to check up on us and bring new pints. One issue I had was immediately being served water when I arrived. This sounds strange to most, so I’ll explain. I rarely drink water when I’m out at restaurants or bars and looking around, neither was anyone else. Maybe it just happened to be timing, but every glass on every table was full and not being consumed. (They weren’t being refilled either, I was paying attention. Also observed servers dumping all the full glasses right next to me). So now, they’ve wasted all the water at EVERY table. They will then waste more water to clean the empty, dirty glasses. All while the state of Hawaii is proposing a reduction in water usage. A consideration to “water upon request” would be great. Sadly, the 1992 Board of Water Supply rule of not automatically serving water in restaurants is ignored and not enforced. Definitely psyched to come back and try more of the delicious beer on draft. Also found out they opened another location in Waikiki. Have to check that out as well.More
Stopped in on Taco Tuesday. There is indoor and outdoor seating available. It was pretty busy but there were spots outdoors for us. We were brought water while we looked at the menu options. I ordered the Aloha flight (aloha blonde, Jefe-Weisen, fruit-lupes, and portlock...lorter. And my husband who loves his lighter beer, ordered the Aloha Blonde. We decided on the taco sampler since it was taco Tuesday and it was $8 for three tacos, also ordered guac and chips and the cauliflower wings. The cauliflower came right away and was very hot. It was served with barbecue and ranch and was grilled perfectly tender with a little crispness. It was very good. The tacos came soon afterwards and looked very good, but when we dug in, the chicken taco was very greasy (although flavorful), the carne asada steak was very tough and had little flavor (actually so tough we chewed forever to swallow it), and the barbacoa was a little spicy but good. I wouldn’t go out if my way for the tacos or the chips and guacamole (a very small serving of guac for a plate of chips). They actually forgot the guac and chips and after we had finished with everything else and asked, they were brought out. Overall, the beer was good and the cauliflower as well - skip the rest. They have other options on the menu - maybe better Choices. Being in a beer garden atmosphere outside was nice on this evening and dogs are welcome if that is something you look for. Cost was around $60 for the food and beer round - a bit steep for not great food, but the beer saved the night.More
We stopped at Aloha after a boat tour as we love try new breweries and needed lunch. We ordered a taster and a pint with a pretzel. The beers were good and interesting and the pretzel was delicious. We had a pizza and the fish...sandwich. both were very good. The two servers were on it, friendly, fast and attentive. The area isn't phenomenal, but the place is cute and the beer and food is good. I would definitely go back.More
Great brewery, indoor and outdoor seating, terrific and knowledgeable staff. Only complaint is no wheat-free beers. Menu is pub food, not gf friendly. They will do sample flights and you can pick which beers. Porter was great. Beautiful murals in outdoor seating areas (see picts)....Clean and well run. Great stop after a surf.More
I highly suggest you try a flight because the beer selection is amazing! I loved all of the beers that I tried. We went after we ate so I cannot speak for the food but the people at the table near us said it was...wonderful.More
Beer was pretty good - the farmhouse ale was the best I tried. Definitely worth getting a bite to eat too; their food was excellent. They have non-beer options if you're like my wife who hates beer.
We walked here from Waikiki (crazy) and came here. Loved the outdoor setting and casual vibe. They had a variety of beers and good food too. There were mostly locals and not so many tourists, which was nice.
The fruit lupes ipa, black pils, and jefe were all delicious. The selections on tap here are all really good. Then there is the pizza. The pizza is perfectly fire baked and filling for being 12 inches. We shared 2 pizzas, the Queen Street supreme...and the Veggie Nice. Great flavor and delicious crust. Everything here was excellent. I rented a bicycle and every time I saw a brewery I pulled over to enjoy a beer. We are still in the C19 pandemic but this place is allowing indoor and outdoor dining. I sat at the bar and was immediately approached for my...order. I picked out an IPA and it was nice and smooth and strong enough to give me a buzz. The beer prices are reasonable and they have brewery t-shirts and collectibles for sale.More
I came here with my family and it was clear this place was a hotspot. We had a group of eight and were sat back where the beer is brewed. (My family is big on beer and enjoys those things.) The food was good and...I really enjoyed my blonde!More
Excellent variety of great craft beer, friendly and helpful staff. The pizza is the best food deal on the menu, and excellent!
Aloha Beer is a neighborhood brew pub with their own craft beers and bar food menu. They have a novel method of service. There are tables for seating, but we order at the bar counter, and they bring the food and drinks to the table....Water is self-service, it is kept cold, though. We, a group of four, stopped here one late night for dinner. I had their four beer taster flight, which had good beers. For dinner, two of us shared the Falafel dish which was more than enough for two. Street parking is limited, but they have courteous valet service.More
While we didn't eat during our visit to Aloha Beer Company, I can certainly appreciate a brewery that serves a variety of food. Not always the case, but in my mind a GREAT idea for an establishment that serves beer. Hubs got a sampler of...several beers and particularly liked the Saison on the menu. I got to indulge on a local cider made by Paradise Ciders that I had tried at the last placed we visited before Aloha. I loved the mixed material/industrial atmosphere of the place! Everyone there was helpful and nice and made our visit very enjoyable. I am sure we will be back there soon for another go and maybe some food this time.More
Locally owned. Great beer and food as well as full bar and the service is fantastic! It's one of our go-to's for sure.
