We had a very nice lunch in this charming restaurant. The menu is huge, so easy to please everyone. Our kids really enjoyed the steak frites. My husband and I had the salad bar which included soup. Don't miss the old red truck at the salad bar. The hostess was very sweet and helpful getting us a table. The server... More

We decided to have a group meal here after we walked 15,000 steps on the Cliff Walk. We read the excellent reviews and agreed to wait 30 minutes for our large table of 8 people to be ready. We were very happy we waited, because food and service were great, and we had a good time. I would like to... More

Food menu was a couple of pages which always 'scares' me a bit. Food was just ok. Very loud and very busy With multi-generational families. We arrived at 5pm and waited upstairs until 5:45 to be seated downstairs. The children liked their dinners so we were pleased but I would not go back as an adult couple. Meals were not... More

This is a nice place for a beer and a quick bite. Lots of options. Good food good service. The only problem was they advertise as having a gluten free menu but they do not have gluten free buns for their burgers on the gf menu.

Friday afternoon, middle of the summer and we had a 45 minute wait!!!! But we found space at the bar, which worked for us! Brick Alley has pub food, but it was all good. I have it a 5, because everything we had was fresh, service was great. But expect a pub... It is still a great meal in NPT

We were planning to have dinner at the Brick Alley Pub but the wait time was 45 minutes. Being that we were all starving the hostess recommended grabbing dinner at their upstairs restaurant which is owned and run by the same family that also operates the Brick Alley Pub. Plumby's is a self serve restaurant with lots of burger choices... More

Can't beat this food.... Chowder is perfect, the potatoes are firm, never mushy, heavy creamy broth, plenty of clans and the chowder is served as it should be, piping hot. The tuna sliders are delish, the wasabi HOT.... And the key lime martini is to die for

This place is always packed so drop by and book a table the day before if you can. We had a delicious meal with something for everybody and servers with loads of personality. Even though people were spilling out the front door while waiting for a table, inside was relaxed, efficient and not rushed. Really worth a visit.

My favorite place for lunch. Also the seafood and sandwiches are very tasty. The finding of a parking space is a challenge. Better choice is to walk there.

At Brick Alley Pub we have it all: "pub style" comfort food to modern multicultural cuisine all served with genuine down-home hospitality. Like America itself, Brick Alley is one big melting pot of ethnicities, flavors, and fun. If you are looking for stiff, over the top formal service with small portions of over-priced food, we are not that place.

After more than 30 years as one of Rhode Island's most popular restaurants with locals and tourists alike, the Brick Alley Pub & Restaurant has earned landmark status. Located at 140 Thames Street across from the Brick Market Place in Downtown Newport the Brick Alley Pub & Restaurant offers a warm and cozy fireplace in the winter and comfortably air-conditioned dining rooms in the summer.

The Brick Alley Pub & Restaurant specializes in a blend of flavorful steaks, fresh local seafood, pastas, and seasonal specials. Begin your dinner with a selection from our cocktail menu or choose a wine from our extensive wine list. This wine list features over 250 different vintages and has received the Wine Spectator Award for Excellence.

Open for lunch and dinner, Brick Alley Pub & Restaurant accepts reservations and offers an upstairs function room that can accommodate up to 170 people.

The Brick Alley Pub & Restaurant has received favorable reviews from countless local and national publications including: The Providence Journal, Travel-Holiday, Ford Times, Rhode Island Monthly, and Newport Life Magazine. In addition, Jameson Irish Whiskey bestowed the restaurant with their "Best Irish Coffee Award" for three consecutive years and inducted the Brick Alley Pub & Restaurant into their Hall of Fame. Brick Alley has also been featured on The Food Network and is a favorite of Boston's Phantom Gourmet.
