Had dinner one night at Jo's while visiting R.I. and it was very good. Though I only had the burger special it was probably one of the freshest and delicious burgers I've had in awhile, and big. The rest of our party had different entrees...and all were great.More

We visited Rhode Island in August for a long weekend and made reservations at Jo's. Despite messing up the reservation time (on my end) they found a way to accommodate our party of 2. The beef carpaccio was delicious, scallops fresh and the butternut squash...ravioli was the the best I've had in a long time. This is definitely a spot to add to your list.More

The mushroom soup and clam chowder were tasty but the rest of our meal was ok. We had the prix fixe menu and two days later we can’t remember what we had.

Excellent choice for food, service and atmosphere. The service was friendly yet professional and attentive. We had the wedge salad and lobster carbonara - both were excellent, fresh and prepared perfectly. The ambience warm and slightly rustic. One knock - the drinks were a little...weak. Definitely worth visiting.More

While visiting Newport we wanted to dine at a restaurant that offers outdoor seating and is taking Covid concerns seriously. Jo's does just that, however, they also offer wonderful service and fantastic food and drinks. We enjoyed it so much we came back a second...night for dinner!More

The food and service in this restaurant was excellent. The manager was the nicest and most accommodating person that we have ment since being in Newport. The prices was right in the range of other restaurants in the area. I can’t wait to go back...for the next meal.More

Best meal I’ve had in Newport to date. For starters we had the shrimp bao buns and the steamed littlenecks. Both were absolutely fantastic. The grilled chicken sandwich and grilled shrimp dishes were even better! Couple the food with excellent service, delicious drinks and very...solid covid accommodations and you’ve got a winner.More

The name American bistro evokes burgers and this place is so much more than that! Excellent innovative food and terrific service. It does have a pub/bistro casual atmosphere so may not be a special occasion choice if that matters to you. When we go out...we want great food we don’t make at home. This is it!More

We always have a multitude of choices when it comes to dining in Newport as we have been to this wonderful city 10+ times...and a trip wouldn't be the same without spending at least one night @ Jo's! The service, staff, menu, and quality of...food continues to be outstanding. Do not be fooled that you have to eat on the water and/or Thames to get high quality meals...Jo's is a must visit!!!!!More

There is a corking fee, but not sure how much. I guess you can call the restaurant for specifics.
