The menu is very original. Written on the blackboard near the kitchen, where you can check the chef while you seat at your table. Seafood choice is perfect and their woodgrilled lobster amazing. Good and right priced wine list. All in all excellent restaurant not as expensive as advertised. Only criticism is the lack of waiters so expect some delays.

We visited this restaurant for our anniversary as we had heard great things about it! Maybe our expectations were too high because we thought the food was average. It was worth a try but there are so many good restaurants in Newport I wouldn't go back.

We just got back from Newport and had to visit one our favorite spots. They don't have many seats at the bar so you really need to make a reservation to get a table on a weekend. The menu is on a chalkboard so you need to get up to take a close look. The raw bar selections are great... More

We were able to get into dinner on a beautiful Friday evening having made reservations just that day. What a great place. The menu is written on the blackboard. So many choices ! Wood grilled tuna, clam pizza, shrimp scampi, cherry stone clams, mussels all could not have been fresher or more expertly prepared. Don't miss this place!

Raw bar selection is very good. The fresh fish selection was lacking. No Chilian sea bass, striped bass, halibut, sole. Pasta dishes- selection good but the pasta was under cooked.

The place was packed, we were given a 40mn waiting time and hesitated. But a short walk later, we were really happy we came back, because it has been one of our best New England dinners. No menus, please find your own way through the big blackboard (difficult job, we realized later on that we had missed the specials, too... More

So confused...but people need to read the reviews before making a judgment. I laughed at a few. Their raw bar is impressive. We have been coming her for 10 years. Their shrimp cocktail is my all time favorite. Tonight I had a 2 1/2 lb. lobstah. So tender. We also shared the fra diavolo...again...impressive. Forget the chalkboard menu that you... More

White linen table cloth and good food in a causal-like dining atmosphere. Stopped for an early evening Saturday dining experience. Extensive bar offerings started the experience. Wide range of scale/shell offerings on a large chalkboard menu. Feel free to view close up. Started with large sized shrimp cocktail and moved on to the wood grilled lobster. Also well prepared was... More

The menu was limited. The chefs are actually quite skilled, so that patrons should be able to get any fish cooked any way. While my selection (wood-grilled monkfish with pasta) was delicious, it came very quickly -- no time to sit and enjoy a drink first. I felt rushed throughout the meal. The room affects a cool, casual style, but... More

Busy on a Saturday night but we did not have to wait for a table for 2 for very long. The menu is all seafood and posted on a huge chalkboard. We ordered halibut and swordfish which were both great. Very fresh. You had your choice of salad, grilled skewer of vegetables (potato squash zucchini onion pepper and corn on... More
