We were looking for a restaurant that offered a selection of vegetarian dishes and decided to try Thai Cuisine at Thames Street. We started with garlic chives pancakes that were fried but not greasy and mango fresh vegetable tolls served with a nutty soy sauce. Both were tasty and had a nice crunchy texture. My wife and I ordered teriyaki... More
Surprisingly better than first impressions might give. Nothing special to go overboard about but for Newport not overly expensive - always a plus. Appetisers OK if somewhat uninspiring. Massaman Shrimp Curry and Two Basil Beef flavoursome and fresh, Tofu Pad Thai more run of the mill but it all got eaten so read into that what you will. Good portion... More
Stumbled on this whole in the wall restaurant on lower Thames Street on a trip to Newport last year and have been back each time I've been in town since! (4 times). I had the Samui squid with vegetables with a glass of Moscato. Usually don't like sweeter wine, but it really goes well with spicy Thai. Save room for... More
Too tired to cook today. Tried this place. Very good food and prompt delivery they has something for all ages. There Pad Thai and curries were really good
One restaurant we always come back to every time we visit Newport. Pad Thai, a favorite. If you like sweets, mango with sticky rice...can't go wrong. Service great and pleasant.
We looked for a place for dinner after the Newport Jazz Festival and as expected, most restaurants in the center of Newport were already booked or very expensive. Luckily, we found a Thai restaurant and were pleasantly surprised. We had the mango fresh roll, tom yum goong soup, massaman curry, and drunken noodles. All were excellent. We ate outside on... More

The table menu showed a price of $16.95 for the same item, but when we received the bill, the price jumped again to $18.95! We... More
Entirely adequate but not spectacular. Its the only oriental restaurant south of Memorial Drive in Newport so its available if you want it. Sorry for the lack of enthusiasm but I don't remember anything memoral about the place.
This has become a regular stop during our annual Newport long weekend. Great selection and variety for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. Food is always full flavored, service is consistently good. Thanks again!
