We went to the Black Pearl on August 18th, our wedding anniversary. It was good. My wife's amount of lobster was a bit small for nearly $50. There was probably less than 5 ounces of lobster, three sprigs of asparagus and not much more on the plate. I had the filet mignon and it was very good. I feel I... More

Celebrating a family reunion in Newport. I sent family members new to Newport to the Black Pearl for lunch the first day and they return for lunch on the last day! So glad to see not everything has changed!

We had dined at the Black Pearl at various times over the years. Service is attentive and courteous. We had a Sunday lunch, nothing fancy. The food was good and the portions were reasonably sized. The clam chowder is very good. We will return on our next visit to Newport.

Food was reasonable for Newport, service was a little slow for a Sunday afternoon but it was crowded. Limited menu selection but the clam chowder was very good.

Great location in the heart of the wharf- food just okay, service a bit slow (though friendly). Perfectly fine if you happen to be walking by, but not worth making a trip for it.

They have a great outdoor dining area right next to the water where all the sailboat trip vessels dock, we actually booked a sail boat excursion for the next day after having lunch here.

Clam chowder was Delicious but it is everywhere in the area, service was fair, drinks was fair, my swordfish was fair. My husband ordered 1 1/2 lb lobster which was good, MKT price $32.
