In Newport with another couple for a weekend and looking for someplace to have lunch. The restaurant we were heading to was not open for lunch due to a private party so we wandered up the street and found Malt. It was little past prime lunch time and the place was empty, but the menu looked enticing so we gave... More

Malt was recommended to us by our Innkeepers and what a great recommendation it was. The food was great. The owner met us at the door and took us to our table. Our wait staff was pleasant and helpful with recommendations. Just a thoroughly enjoyable dinner. p.s.- If you like Single Malts this is the place.

I've been here once before for drinks (fantastic mojitos!), but had never had the food. We tried a few items off the tasting menu and they were delicious! We had brussels sprouts with bacon and spicy meatballs. Amazing! The espresso martinis were great as well.

The food was excellent. Great selection of small plates. Ok selection of craft beer, but nothing to go out of your way for.

My husband and I stopped here to have a quick meal after a busy day. It's very centrally located and has a great atmosphere and ambiance. Service from Sandy the waitress was excellent. I had the mussels which were delicious and a perfect portion for a lite dinner. Husband had a burger and said it was delicious. Only complaint was... More

We had Thai shrimp nachos and lamb koftas. Both were tasty! My girlfriend had the " wild thing" cocktail that we really liked.

Enjoyed this restaurant from beginning to end. We had the potato croquettes (fantastic), seasonal ravioli which was pumpkin and sage with some sort of sauce made with wine and beets, and fish and chips. They were perfectly done and delicious. The cole slaw was remarkable with a nice kick to it. Very nice beer selection. The staff was friendly and... More

Was disappointed in our waitress. We were ready to order some appetizers but she INSISTED we order drinks first then she would come back for food. We were hungry and wanted to look the drink menu over a little longer. Once we did get to order food she asked if we wanted our appetizers first...seriously?! The food was good. We... More
