When we were looking to stay in Newport, this hotel was rated highly but it was so expensive, we went elsewhere. So we were keen to try Muse, their signature restaurant. We started with a drink on the rooftop deck. Sounds great but they'd run out of Hendricks gin, the glasses are plastic, there was nothing special about it at... More

Four of us dined here on a Saturday Night, which happened to be Restaurant Week. Service was excellent, truly five-star, but the food didn't measure up—especially the simple pasta. Offsetting that, however, were the environment (lovely) and the wine pairings, which were both appropriate and generous. I would return.

Beautiful white tablecloth setting that will make you feel like you are a member of Newport's elite. Sit by the fire, enjoy the pianist by the bar, and enjoy a romantic dinner. My husband have visited multiple time and it is always worth every penny. This is the way fine dining should be.

Dear Aubrey75, We are delighted to hear you and your husband enjoyed dinner with us. It is a great disappointment to me that we failed to deliver excellence in food and service for your breakfast the following day. Had a group dinner the first night. Chef created excellent beef and seafood entrees. Presentation, quality and service were all wonderful. Both that meal and breakfast were served in the Conservatory, sunny and charming location. Grab a cocktail before or after dinner and try your hand at a game of Snooker. Great fun!

My husband and I took advantage of the "date night special" they offer to bring in clientele during the off season. So happy we did, as we probably would never have come to this gorgeous restaurant otherwise! Normally, the prices are a bit out of our range, but the offer of a three course meal including a bottle of wine... More

We had the Christmas dinner there, understandably it's busy busy busy time but we just sat there for like an hour without anything coming. The place is absolute elegant and enjoyable. The food are fine, actually, I couldn't recall what I had, but nothing remarkably impressive. It's really a pity, we could have enjoyed it a lot more.

Dear xangt, I would like to personally apologize for such an extensive wait on this very special day. As you know, the holidays are a very busy time for restaurants and hotels. Regardless, we failed to deliver you and your guests the service we promised to deliver. If you decide to return to one of our restaurants, please reach out... More

We were here for a wedding ceremony and dinner and it was exceptional! Everything was exquisite - the food, the service, the ambiance. There was everything from sophisticated appetizers and elegant choices for each course, to nice touches such as sorbet between the courses, and the chocolate Baked Alaska was a special treat. This is certainly a memorable four star experience!

I wanted to love it here but really can not rave about it. Arrived early and seated promptly, water poured. Then about 20 minutes before anyone came around asking for drinks. A special menu where we ordered appetizer, entree and desert for $75/head. Appetizer came out in a reasonable time, then over thirty minutes after we finished for the entree.... More

We were looking for someplace to go for Christmas dinner - someplace where there would be attention to detail as well as "elegant" dining. We found it at Muse. We were impressed with the fact that everything ran smoothly; service was neither too fast nor too slow; the kitchen did not seem overworked; the portions were neither too large nor... More

Description
Our outstanding simply sumptuous restaurant, Muse, has earned myriad awards and accolades since its opening in 2011. With a strong focus on what it takes to be a leading restaurant in Newport, Rhode Island, Muse has a loyal following amongst residents of New England in addition to the gourmet guests. Muse is open daily for dinner, with service commencing at 6pm and running later on weekends. This awarded hotel restaurant is an echo of the bygone era in which dinner was the centerpiece of the day and Newport social scene. The dining room itself reflects this style with period features contributing to a freshly modern and inviting aesthetic.
