Ate here during restaurant week in the fall for dinner. I was dining alone during a business trip and was promptly seated. Very upscale seating inside with low light. Service was prompt and attentive throughout the evening. Scallop appetizer, swordfish entree, and pound cake dessert were all very tasty. As with many places in Newport could be a vast difference... If you have the money to spend, and you want fresh food with informed wait-staff, go elsewhere. There are many other quality restaurants, and they may even cost less. The waiter did not even know what the only soup option was. The crab balls were cold, hard, and flavorless. The seared scallops were extremely salty and undercooked. We also were... More

I've tried Grill @ 41°N many times over a 3 year span - year round. The only thing consistent is the most horrendous service one could imagine. Charging New York prices, the bad service is unthinkable. Even McDonald's has service down to an art! There is no excuse. Example: 2 dining (dinner) in heat of summer. One glass, white wine,... The food was fantastic, the service friendly, and the harbor setting perfect on a warm September evening. Although crowded, we were seated right away at the time of our reservation and allowed to linger and enjoy our time. Steak and seafood were nicely prepared.

Two Words ~ amazing food!!!!! You must try this place when in Newport. It's better than a five star Forbes rated restaurant. Trust me.

The food was average and the service was poor at 41 North. In my reservation through Open Table, I had noted that this was an anniversary dinner for my husband and I who were married at 41 North the year before. The restaurant either didn't get the note or didn't care about it because we did not get a quiet... More

We went to the Grill for my birthday lunch. The view, setting and decor are all beautiful. We ordered cocktails and the server brought my husband the incorrect drink twice on the first round. We later asked for a second round and our server brought us our drinks, then two minutes later brought us a third round, as she forgot... More

Went for brunch on Sunday, first time visiting, and was not impressed. The customer service has lots of way to go and learn on the side of the waiter. I had the Asparagus omelet which was nothing impressive. Mimosa was good. Would I go back or recommend? Nope

This lovely outdoor seating overlooking the marina was delightful. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset as we dined on delicious food and wine. There is also a very large inviting outdoor bar which is a popular spot for an afternoon cool delight on a summer day. It is located behind the boutique hotel but open to the public. Because it is...
