It is no wonder why Rosemary and Thyme Café is rated as the number one restaurant in all of Newport. Their chef created and prepared sandwiches and paired perfectly with the outstanding customer service make it a must when visiting Newport. They also have a nice combination of sandwiches for those who don't eat meat. The light breakfast items are... More

This little luncheon place is worth planning ahead for! Yes, it is tiny. Other reviewers had correctly noted how few tables are available. But the day myself and two others went, we lucked out. Per suggested, we called in our orders ahead and went to pick them up at the given time. Our plan was to take advantage of the... More

Tiny place but fabulous food, cozy atmosphere and well worth the wait...or order for takeout and eat in local parks. Great sandwiches and the scones are to die for.

We called ahead as suggested by others...our order would take 30 minutes. We took our time and walked over from the Elm Mansion. My son and I both ordered Havana Cuban Paninis. We each took one bite, looked at each other, smiled and nodded our heads in agreement...yeah this was UNBELIEVABLE! They were the best sandwiches we have ever eaten!

Parking can be a challenge in this area. Good coffee. Great baked goods. Interesting assortment. Not many tables.

R&T Cafe used to be a local's haunt now on the tourist map--not a bad thing, yet VERY busy in the mornings. They make a certain number of stuffed croissant-and-egg sandwiches with various delicious fillings like asiago, asparagus, etc. When they are out--they are out and often that happens, I'm told, by 9 AM. Delicious scones but small menu. Not... More

As long as you understand what type of place it is (very small with only a few tables, no A/C, order at counter) the chicken salad sandwich is great and other choices looked good too. Fun vibe, worth a visit, crowded - be patient, it is worth it.

This unassuming little hole in the wall is an absolute gem! Fresh, made from scratch in-house food that will knock your socks off with its deliciousness. Really, the food is to die for. We had the Cuban sandwich and the house salad. Unique offerings, huge portions, and tiny prices. The staff was friendly and helpful. Expect a long wait if... More
