This is a good pub and a lot of atmosphere. We went there to watch the Champions League Final on May 29. The barman was not very friendly at all but the rest of the staff especially the young man just over from County Cork...Ireland were great. The first pint of Guinness was very bitter, not enough of a head. The second one was much better although ironically it came in a plastic cup when the first one was in a proper glass. Not so sure I would rush there again except maybe to watch soccer/football.More

My wife and I went there specifically to watch a lackluster performance by Manchester United against Arsenal, which I would give 1/2 a star. However, the Pub was great. The tables were a wobbly and in these Covid times the atmosphere was less than it...probably usually is. They had a good selection of beer, but were out of a few of them. However, the beer they had went down well, their Irish coffee was grand, the staff were wonderful, and they put the game on TV. We had chowder and fries, both of which were okay. I was nervous about parking initally finding a 60-minute spot across the street and then moving to a 120-minute slot right outside for fear of getting a ticket, but the bar supposedly has parking in the rear (that was my plan b), so you should be all set. I'd visit again.More

My husband and I ate here on a recent trip to Newport. They had a very Covid- appropriate outdoor patio, spacious and inviting. Bartender was very friendly and food was delicious. Absolutely recommend

Very crowded. Staff never stops hustling. Irish food is good. Drinks come quick. After walking around found outdoor patio in back of bar. Looked like fun. Glad we found this spot. Staff was amazingly good

My husband and I visited Ireland over the summer and since we got back, we always search for the Irish pubs wherever we visit! We love to try and get a taste of Ireland! Visiting family and they recommended Fastnet. We stopped in for a...late lunch and it did not disappoint!!! The fish and chips are as close as I have found to actually being in Ireland! They also have Teeling whiskey, which is a fantastic Irish whiskey. My husband had the Reuben and loved it as well! And don’t forget to get a Guinness! Great stop and the food is delicious! Can’t go wrong!More

We stopped here for a few quick drinks before seeing a show down the street. Beer selection on tap was pretty extensive and I found plenty of beers to my liking (especially since I don’t like IPAs) The Christmas decorations in the pub were lovely...and I liked the local divey feel of interior without being an actual dive. Service was friendly and prices weren’t bad. Would definitely come back and try some food next time.More

I took some out of town friends to this pub. I have been there many times and have found the food to be fine. This time, it was terrible. My wife and I had the French Dip Au Jus. The meat was so tough that...I didn't finish it and my wife's was exactly the same. I told the waitress about it and she said sorry. One of my friends had clam chower; it was cold. She didn't want to make a fuss so she didn't complain. the fish an chips were only okay. My question is "What happened to the good food at this pub?" the beer was good but they seemed to have lost the plot on good food. I was very disappointed and am likely never to return - too bad!More

I’ve stopped here before for a drink and enjoyed it. Good amount of space inside but even more outside! Full bar, with a good selection of beer. This time we had dinner and apps which were great. If you’re looking for a good pub Id...recommend it. Service was perfect all around.More

Beer selection is pretty good. While they have less IPAs than I prefer, I never had a hard time finding a beer I liked. Visited a couple times, but only ate once. Had the Shephard's Pie. It was pretty good, would for sure get it...again.More

I don't think so. The food and atmosphere is very good, though.
