It's Saturday night and none of us can figure out where to go out to dinner. Part of the confusion is the age ranges involved. From 3 to 68. For the adults, upscale works just fine. For the kids, simpler is better. Hence we ended...up here at Wellington Pub. The menu can accommodate all ranges of tastes. Chicken fingers, Mac and cheese, and French fries satisfied the kids. The adults feasted on their gourmet hamburgers. The food was good. The service even better. The price very reasonable for feeding eight. Good experience for all.More

It’s nice attention and food is good, for good prices. They have good deals during the week. Looks like traditional pub in town.

Wow! What a great bar! From food to service this place was great! I came to town for my cousins wedding and my brothers and I stopped in for lunch. Had the best beef on weck any where in Buffalo! So tender and sliced nice...and thin. Beef cooked to the temperature of your liking and piled high! The beautiful bar and wait staff treated us so well we went back after the wedding rehearsal with my parents and sisters for a late night snack! The owner was an extremely friendly Buffalo girl who went out of her way to make sure we had a great time! The Wellington is definitely my new go to spot in Buffalo for beef on weck!More

My wife and I stopped here on a Friday night around 8:00. We got a table out front/outside right away. We’re NEVER in this area and we were excited to have a sandwich. We had heard from others that “The Wellington” was one of those...established, local Buffalo icons that you had to visit. One of the “It might not look like much but give it a try”type places. True to their words we found it to be just that. Quaint, dare I say dirty little place with a few tables inside and a small little bar on the side with probably 8 seats. Bartenders and servers were ALL very friendly and courteous to us. Quick service and attentive. For being smaller they had a pretty good menu; the typical pub fare as well as salads, soups, appetizers, sandwiches and a few entree’s. We ordered the Buffalo Chicken Wing dip for an appetizer. VERY creamy and it had all the usuals (bits of celery/carrot, chunks of chicken with bleu cheese and hot sauce), chips on the side. It was good. I got a fish fry with fries. I’ve had a lot of fish fry’s and this did not impress. A little over cooked and very bland. Zero flavor. I couldn’t quite put my finger on it but I believe maybe the fish was not fresh. Either way I couldn’t finish it and I rarely can’t finish a fry. Took half home and tossed it the next day. My wife, however, got a pot roast sandwich with fries that she RAVED about. She said it was very tender and had a lot of flavor. Many around us had the wings. The pizza looked very good. I HAVE to come back because this is/was the type of place where the locals just kept on pouring in ! They had the look on their faces that said “Duhhhh ! This place is one of our favorites!”. I’ll be back and will try the wings and something else.More

Went to Wellington, despite no reservation and had only a brief wait for table for two. We intended to order the fish fry, but ordered the Greek Haddock and Grilled fish with lemon. Both were very good, as was the Cole slaw accompaniment. Despite a...crowded room, service was relatively quick but not entirely accurate. Lots of servers, not all excellent, but it was very busy. Full bar, which was packed. The dining area is very family friendly. A good place for a Friday night (or Wednesday night) fish fry. Finding a parking space was more difficult than finding a table. It was good, but we probably won't return.More

The wings are huge and tasty, and at a good price. I can vouch for the wings, but my mouth watered watching the huge burgers and other plates of food going to other tables. Friendly waitresses, and a fun time.

My wife and I were here on a Friday night during lent and were here for the Fish Fry. They are enormous, perfectly crispy and delicious! I opted for the onion rings as a side because the potato salad has bacon in it so I...will just have to come back not during lent and try the potato salad. The onion rings were very good so I recommend them as well. A nice pint of Guinness washed everything down nicely.More
