Great romantic spot. The food is delicious. They seem to have something for everyone. Fresh gourmet tasting. Not overpriced at all if you consider how much you spend at mediocre places, even chain places. Everything's expensive so I only bother going to places where the food is awesome.

We used to go here frequently for their Mac and cheese, oysters, meatloaf among other dishes. We brought some friends here awhile ago and felt really rushed by our server. Decided to give it another try recently and it happened again. Our server brought out our apps while we were still enjoying our soup. This is not what I would've... More

This is not authentic creole food. The food has no flavor. If you have eaten real gumbo and jumbalaya you will be insulted. I was so disappointed.

While waiting for a National Theatre Live performance at the Amherst Theater, we stopped here for a beverage... and stayed! The facade hides a wonderful establishment. The wine selection is great and the beers, both on tap and in bottle, are just as diverse and enjoyable. The menu is a culinary delight. The mixture of selections, ingredients, and suggestions make... More

New Orleans style food is something you rarely find in Buffalo. The menu is small but has something for everyone. I enjoyed my salad and entree and the bread with dipping oil was a nice touch. I had no complaints. The service was excellent too. I would recommend making a reservation because Shango Bistro is rather small.

We haven't been here in several years and it was as good as I remembered. We started off with an app special oyster tacos delicious. The fried chicken and grits was great , husband had a fish special and also tried steak Poboy.everything was fresh and delicious, even the bread and oil they leave on table. Lol

So I've been wanting to try this restaurant for awhile now because of all the great reviews it has been getting. The four of us arrived without a reservation and was told there would be about a 30 minute wait. The restaurant wasn't crowded and there were two other people ahead of us who also had not made reservations. So... More

My wife and I had been hearing about Shango's Restaurant for awhile and thought we would give it a go for our 33rd anniversary. Had a most wonderful evening taking in the wonderful atmosphere of this quaint place. Our server Rebecca was a gem. She checked on us often to see if we needed anything. We appreciated that. Our busboy,... More

I went to Shango with a group from work, and we had a terrific time. The wine list was excellent, and the food was wonderful. This would be a nice place for a romantic dinner, too.
