I'm sure everyone who travels and has enjoyed fine dining on the road, has heard the old cliche "You Never Eat Where You Sleep", well Patina 250 just threw a dagger into the heart of that misconception!!! On a balmy December 26th. 52 degrees, we...decided to go downtown for dinner as I've been hearing some very good reports on this fine dining restaurant which resides in the Westin Hotel. Going in with cautious optimism my wildest expectations were dramatically exceeded! Four of us started with three appetizers, the Buffalo Cauliflower, the chef's cheese plate and the chef's Charcuterie of The Moment, all three were outstanding especially the tempura cauliflower, with a medium Buffalo sauce. A mushroom soup of the day was presented hot and full of flavor! Now for the entree's, two Berkshire pool chops were ordered one medium the other medium rare. Both were cooked to temperature served over a bed of mashed potatoes and drizzled with a rich brown sauce. Probably the best PC I ever tasted! Our friends ordered the Duck and Ahi Tuna both were extraordinary preparations! Being a Duck lover I was given a taste and it was simply off the charts. Rich, tender and absolutely delicious. I also tasted the Ahi Tuna which was exceptional. Our server Dave and his associates were on point throughout the evening, with water glasses never beyond half empty and wine dispensed accordingly! You thought you were in Midtown Manhattan! We were told our gelato came from Ohio which was rich, decadent and flavorful! I know it's a long review, but well worth the time as I have discovered another gem in downtown Buffalo! Patina 250 is DEFINITELY a must stop for travelers and locals alike, it will not disappoint. And believe it or not it's in a hotel!! Go figure!!!More

A lovely looking restaurant, nice service. Prices were high with average quality food. It’s the first time in my life I have had to add salt to my food in a restaurant for flavor

Had dinner at Patina while on business. Food was excellent. I had the salmon, cooked to perfection. Pricey, but you get what you pay for. Service was on point!

Dined here during restaurant week. The decor and ambiance are very nice. The valet parking very convenient. Upon being seated we were greeted by our server and offered choices of water. Our server never offered us anything from the bar. I had to tell her...we each wanted a glass of wine. We dined off the restaurant week menu which gave us an appetizer, meal and dessert for $40.19 each. For the appetizer my wife chose the pierogi. It was a large pierogi with a rather dry filling sitting on top of a mountain of sour cream. Besides the pierogi being quite flavorless the over abundance of sour cream made it cold. I chose the Caesar salad and found it quite good and adequately proportioned. For our main course my wife had roast chicken which she enjoyed. It came with a delicious side of wafer thin stacked potatoes and mushrooms. I chose the trout almondine. The presentation was a bit awkward. It came skin up with the almonds and capers on top of the skin. I’m thinking most eat the fleshy white meat of the fish and skip the skin. I had to move the capers and almonds off and then remove the skin to get at the meat. The portion of meat left was quite small and not satisfying. It came with some leafy garnish and nothing else. Our meals came with dessert. There were two to choose from. I chose a chocolate item and my wife a flan. They were out of the flan. She really didn’t want the chocolate dessert so went without. I would have thought they would offer a substitute. There were bread plates and knives next to us. I’m not sure why as we never seen bread. We dine out frequently and thought restaurant week was a way to give customers a chance to try new places to dine. We had heard good things about Patina 250 but didn’t experience it ourselves. I will however give them another try hoping this was just an off night.More

The food was not very good for what you pay. I ordered the steak and eggs and the steak was a few slices and cold and my over easy eggs were served with the egg yolks broken. A diner wouldn’t serve the eggs like so...was very surprised for a nice restaurant. My husband ordered a burger that was over cooked. Food quality was just not good and we waited long periods of time for refills on our bottomless drinks. For a $40 per person price it really was very disappointing. Breakfast at Denny’s is better.More

I don't usually eat fancy breakfasts, but this place was a treat and a highlight the morning before a Bills game.

There is much good to be said about the restaurant: the decor, the service, and much of the food. The Little Gem Caesar salad was wonderful. The strip steak was excellent, as was the filet mignon. The banana cream pie was a yummy desert. Just...a word of warning about the porchetta. It is extremely fatty. Indeed, I could detect nothing but fat. When I brought it to the attention of the manager, he did offer me an alternative. But I would order something else next time.More

Well....it’s fancy, it’s pretentious, it’s beautiful, it’s delicious. And if your ok with a moderately expensive you will not be disappointed. I sat at the bar and Adam rocked and perfect evening, thank you

Went to Patina 250 for our anniversary dinner. The atmosphere, food and service were outstanding!!! Our server, Franklin, was fabulous. He went over each menu item and described it in detail. I ordered the salmon and my husband ordered the filet. With every bite we...were in awe. The flavors worked so well together. The salmon was the best I’ve ever had. It was cooked with a delicious slightly crisp outside and the sides paired amazingly. We can’t wait to come back and recommended to others!!! We usually go to Toronto for our anniversary, but Patina 250 was as good or better than any Toronto restaurant!!!More
