Had hoped to have dinner here the first night of our visit but they were, unfortunately, closed because of a labor shortage. Luckily they reopened the morning of the last day of our visit so we could enjoy a wonderful breakfast before leaving. My husband...enjoyed the biggest omelet I have ever seen served and he said it and the sides of breakfast potatoes and pancakes were all delicious. I chose the RumChata French toast, it was beautifully presented, and out of this world delicious. We appreciated the social distancing, the servers wearing masks, and the cleanliness of this beautiful dining room. Our server was great, checked on us often and the service from being seated to ordering and being served was quick. Will definitely be back to eat here again on our next visit to our favorite ND destination.More

According to the sign on the door “Closed due to labor shortage” with no indication as to when the restaurant might reopen. Very disappointed on 9/7/20.

We had a great breakfast. There are limited choices in Medora but this is one I would recommend. The omelets were great. Can’t wait to go back.

We ate breakfast here the last two mornings of our trip. I have to say, it was excellent! I’ve never had a better omelet! I ordered the veggie omelet, minus mushrooms, plus bacon.....🤦🏼‍♀️ I know. But it was hot, the veggies were so fresh, and...it satisfied me for the whole day! My (picky) son said his chocolate chip pancake was awesome! First mornings service was better than the 2nd, but still a hotspot to go to if you want a fantastic breakfast! Maybe order your bacon a bit more crispy.....but that’s the only “kimplaint” I can say.More

It was late, and we got our order in and sat in the bar to eat it. Superb dinner. Fried were great, salad excellent, but the best part of the meal was the French Dip sandwich. Was among the best ever ever! THANK YOU, and...super nice bartender and waitress!More

The food was pretty fancy for our kids but my wife and I enjoyed it very much. The kids menu wasn’t published well so ask about it. Was definitely worth going to after a long day in the park. They did an especially good job...during the covid crisis. Our host and wait staff (including the bus boy) were fantastic and all careful.More

We ate here twice during our short visit and were not disappointed on either occasion. Once for breakfast and once for dinner. We did try two other restaurants in town and they were nowhere close to the quality of food and service we received here....We are at another cafe for breakfast one morning and paid about the same amount and the quality and portion were nothing compared to what we received at Theodore’s. Save yourself the money and don’t waste it at other restaurants.More

The French toast was unique and delicious. First impression was the portion was small but turned out to be very filling. Service was great nice atmosphere. Sides like bacon and sausage and breakfast potatoes were also excellent. Overall great experience. Just a little pricy but...to be expected here. Well worth the price.More

I had read about the restaurant's Lemon Ricotta pancakes, but they were not on the menu. I had the Teddy Junior breakfast instead. Egg over-easy and pancake were delicious, but the bacon was the best part. Service was attentive.

Very over priced for the food you receive. I had a queen prime and my husband had the bison. Bison was overcooked. My prime rib was cooked correctly but was not very tasty. The horseradish is mixed and leaves out the kick which is pointless....Our bill, came to $77 for TWO entries we didn’t order drinks, no appetizers. Which is ridiculous, at another restaurant we had three beers,an appetizer and two entrees for $80 and it was worth it. Service was excellent. I’d go again for that. But not for the prices.More

Have you tried 1-701-623-4830? Another might be 1-800-medora. There's also an AmericInn there...8445814982. The Rough Rider Hotel is 1-701-623-4444 and also The Badlands Motel (same number). Hope this helps.
