We stopped for a quick lunch with our friends while we were touring the town of Medora. We each had a different meal and were pleased with our selections. We noticed too that everyone was having large plates of lots of good-looking food. We had made a good choice for lunch. They have several noon-day specials and a nice menu.

We visited Makoshika State Park in MT in the morning and arrived in Medora just in time for a late lunch before hitting Roosevelt Nat'l Park. Based on TripAdvisor reviews, we opted for the Cowboy Cafe for a quick meal. T-While the facility is somewhat small, the ambiance is fun and the food is very good, had a bison burger... More

This is the best place for breakfast. We ate here every morning but one (and wish we hand't tried the other place). The service is polite and quick. The food was great....especially their cinnamon rolls. Those were fantastic and great to share.

The morning we left Theodore Roosevelt National Park we stopped at the Cowboy Café for breakfast as it was one of few places that were open that early in the morning. It was busy, but we got a table right away. Service was good, so we were eating a very good French toast with bacon before long. It is an... More

2nd time in Medora ND 2nd time at this bar...drinking only the first time here...getting down to food the this, which was an excellent choice. We usually belly-up to the bar, our neighbors at the bar were really enjoying their food so we decided to eat also was an excellent choice.

Good atmosphere (pictures on wall, western feel) and good food, as well as plenty of parking nearby. We had read the reviews and this was the restaurant we had picked out for Medora. It is not on the street you come in on when entering from the freeway, so don't be alarmed if you don't see it right away.

We had breakfast and lunch. I think it closed early most days. Always busy, but never much of a wait for tables or food. There was some wait staff confusion at times and a sign above exit states this is a Private Establishment. The purpose being that at Medora Foundation restaurants there is no tipping, but this isn't a Foundation... More

We went there for breakfast. The place was packed and we got the only open table. Service was prompt, as was the food. Nothing fancy, we had eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, and bacon, all cooked to perfection. Excellent meaty bacon. The coffee, however, was not good at all, and we told them so. Not much more than hot colored water.... More
