Had two meals here, breakfast and lunch. Small diner, everything is cooked fresh, very limited menu. Staff friendly, but not real attentive. Food arrives hot, but no refills on drinks unless you can get someone's attention. All food in Medora is about the same price, but we prefer eating at independent places vs Foundation.

Went for dinner and got seated and served right away. Loved the tomato macaroni soup and chicken salad sandwich. Very cool rodeo photo inside

We ate dinner and breakfast at The Cowboy Cafe, which is across the parking lot from the Rough Rider Hotel. We were greeted warmly both times we visited, which made our short wait go by quickly. The food was good, not outstanding, but the cozy ambiance of this place was just what we were seeking. We recommend that you stop... More

I am really starting to believe that people get paid to write most of the restaurant reviews I read here anymore as they do not seem even close to what the reality is in some of the highly rated restaurants we go to! I had a Buffalo burger and some potato salad for about $11. The Buffalo patty was more... More

The food was not that good. I got the low carb. The sausage super dry! I would not go back! Husband says the coffee was good.

This place is super busy but the food taste home cooked. It is privately owned and operated and we felt the effort. We will go again. I want to try other meals here.

We eat breakfast everytime we go there. Food is always good. Service isn't always the best but not a big deal, they have such a line up waiting to get in I understand why service is hard to come by.

An okay diner for breakfast. Hash browns were mediocre, the rest of the food was okay. The air conditioning vents are all on one side of the room, so it can be cold if you're seated on that side. They don't take credit cards but there are plenty of signs to let you know.

This place cranks out good food, and fast! Good thing too as it is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike. I asked a server what a certain dish was that she just brought out... It was the Hot Beef Sandwich with mashed potatoes, everything covered in home-made gravy. I might go back to Medora just for this sandwich!

Chicken strips and mini corn dogs were fine, typical fry-food. They certainly had other options that were probably great. The ranch dressing was yummy, and the kids meals came in these cute little cars. An average cafe.
