A very pleasant wine bar and bistro, with a modern feel. The food was very good, although with a somewhat limited selection. But their wine selection is impressive, and very reasonably priced: you buy a bottle at a retail price and pay a $10 corkage...fee. Excellent and friendly service. It is tucked away: an inconspicuous entrance from the street, easy to miss, and up the stairs to the actual bar/bistro.More

I had a really great experience this summer at FLG Terroir. The term “hidden gem” gets tossed around so often these days that it is essentially meaningless. Rare is the restaurant that truly is both hidden and a gem – but FLG Terroir is both....Tucked *above* street level and accessed by a single street level door, it does not present much curb appeal, but that is corrected soon enough when at the top of the staircase you enter the long cozy room lined with wine bottles. Its massive wine list is deep, broad, and very thoughtfully curated – it is studded with affordable gems found nowhere else. The owner’s knowledgeable passion for wine shines bright here. The food was equally rewarding. Though at first the menu appeared “randomly eclectic”, as the evening unfolded it seemed to me the unifying thread was the food’s suitability to the wine. We started with a dozen each of the two varieties of oysters on offer and both were remarkably bright. One appropriately briny, the other nutty: both at the peak of freshness. (We were later told the oysters are overnighted in several times a week). I am pretty picky about oysters and these were top-notch! Two very knowledgeable and friendly staffers suggested a gruner-veltliner and the Laurent-Perrier champagne, and both were on point with the oysters we enjoyed. Up next was a seemingly humble roast chicken thigh and leg with another outstanding suggested wine pairing of the value priced Lenotti Valpolicella Classico. Just . . . wow! Of course we could not pass up the Pedro Ximenez ice cream – I mean, come on, who even does that! – with the Hartley & Gibson pedro ximenez. It was fantastic. I cannot wait until my next visit to explore the rest of the menu and wine list – it will take many visits!More

I know what you are thinking, "Banana cream pie? Really?" Yeah really! With fresh perfectly ripened bananas smothered in cream on a divinely crisp and crumbly ginger snap crust and topped with salted carmel, this is a dessert you don't want to miss.

Absolutely loved the entire experience. Huge selection of wine and beer, which my friends and I ended up sharing a bottle. Our dinner was also amazing, but my favorite part was the amazing dessert!!! Staff was very friendly, even explained about the wine vineyard our...bottle came from. 10/10 atmosphere, definitely coming back.More

When my friend talked up the pie, I was thinking about some yellow food colored, tart monstrosity that'd you would get from the grocery store deli section if you're severely depressed and already hate yourself. Not this! This was amazing! Few bakers are skilled enough...to augment a sweet desert with a touch of salty goodness, but the caramel adds an awesome touch. This is probably the best desert I've had. I like banana cream pie now. Or at least one lolMore

We are local residents of Flagstaff. This is absolutely our favorite place to visit for wine and snacks & any time we have company visiting from out of town it’s the first place we bring them. Their wine selection is impeccable, the food menu rotates...seasonally and everything we’ve had there has been absolutely delicious and the staff are just so knowledgeable and lovely. We really enjoy the atmosphere as well. It’s just such a vibe.More

As a restaurant owner, I know times are tough and I manage my expectations accordingly, but this establishment should cease operating as a restaurant and offer only bar snacks. They were out of virtually every food item our party of 5 attempted to order so...we defaulted to the few items on the menu that were available. Most of those (with the exception of the soup) were inedible. The bartender who also entered the orders and was knowledgeable about wine (maybe the owner?) was apologetic and seems like a nice guy, so hopefully he can reset customer expectations by reimagining his operating model.More

We had just drove in from Phoenix and we’re excited to try this wine bar as we had not been before. When you arrive you go to the bar for menu and to place your order. We grabbed menus and sat at the table near...the window to enjoy the view. We chatted with the person sitting nearby and decided to go place our order. We left a menu on the table to identify it was taken. While ordering a couple came in put their shopping bag on the table we were seated at. After placing our order we carried our plates, water, utensils and what not and sat back down. Continued our conversation with neighboring person. Only to shortly be accused of “stealing a table” obviously we had been there first and now were situated drinking our wine. They continued to say foul things to us and then took a seat at the bar. During which apparently told the bartender we stole their table and so when we went to leave the gentleman at the bar said a very nasty comment about my friend which of course got heated quickly. The bartender took their side and said next time we should leave something personal behind to claim the table or we should have moved. For future reference basically we were in the wrong. I was shocked. Expecting a place like this to be a bit more classy and the locals to be a bit more friendly. If you are going to ask people to come up and order from the bar, shouldn’t expect to have to leave something personal behind to “claim” a table. The wine was lovely but the service at that point and the entire experience was shot from the start with the entire table issue. Truly sad.More

We walked up to the second floor entrance and found a beautifully updated wine bar. They have a full menu of wines by the glass or bottle. The wine options really open up if you want to buy a bottle off their “wall of wines”....We started with fresh oysters followed with their 2 course pairing dinner. The light Italian wine was a perfect compliment with the bruschetta and chicken dish. For desert we tried several flavors of their homemade ice cream. All were very creamy and flavorful. The staff was great and very willing to help in picking out wines that fit your tastes. Overall, a very enjoyable evening.More
