The Annex Cocktail Lounge is the logical extension to the Tinderbox Kitchen. Offering our “bar food” menu alongside truly, hand-crafted cocktails at the direction of head mixologist Nick Williams. Waiting for dinner? Need a quick bite? Meeting friends? Come enjoy The Annex either in our lounge or on the best patio in Flagstaff! Enjoy our Shandy (often imitated, never duplicated), try one of the bartenders specials or a specially designed whiskey or gin flight or the best Manhattan in Arizona; the Churchill! If you are looking for a cozy place to meet after work with your friends then you need to stop by The Annex Cocktail Lounge. The appetizers are wonderful and if you are lucky they will also be serving food from The Tinderbox. That food is even more spectacular. The drinks are unique and the bartenders are super friendly and very helpful! You won’t be disappointed

This is a great spot to hit while in Flagstaff. There are great drinks and really good bites. The music was kept low but audible all while having good tunes on. The staff was friendly and conversational. The sister company is directly next door if you are looking for a more sit-down dining experience (I did not eat there so I cannot speak on it). They also carry NA beer as well

One of the few places open downtown on a Monday night in the age of Covid. Limited food menu, cocktails are clearly the focus, but the food was outstanding. Had 3 different tacos (snack size) and an order of the brussels sprouts, an appetizer dish designed for sharing, but quite large. Service was great and a lot of attention had been paid to the cocktail prep. Recognizing the limited food menu, I'd still recommend without reservation for dinner, but even better for a cocktail outing with friends.

We walked in today with family to enjoy a drink or two, to eat decent food. Disappointed on both fronts. It ordered a bourbon on the rocks. The portion was so tiny, I literally had two small sips and it was gone!! The server seemed like she was not interested in serving anyone. Just stood there and not chat with us about their specialty or any other interesting rid bits to help us make a selection.
Have not had a $16 burger outside of snooty JW Marriott or other 5 star resorts, until the Annex bar!!
Server brought us a tapenade in a to-go box, white dining in!!
Restaurant scene really sucks everywhere. This place is no exception!!
I don’t mind paying good money for quality food and cocktails. But places like these take the customers for granted.

I wanted to give this place a good review. Upon walking in it had a nice vibe. But it took forever for somebody to come over and acknowledge us and just as long to be served. Our appetizer came out exactly the same time as our meal defeating the purpose of an appetizer. We ordered the carne asada tacos on recommendation and they were filled with tough grizzly meat, which was unedible. Disappointing to say the least.

This place has epic energy. The staff is engaging, helpful and has attention to detail. They’re chill and authentic and really make the place. The food is tasting with huge portions. Super reasonable prices and even took food to go! The fries and the Brussel sprouts are a must! If you can get served by Jaren and Owen (the bartenders) you’re in for a treat! Will def come back.

We stopped in here on a weekend wander through downtown. I know the place well, but I just don't end up here very often, which needs to change. We stopped in focused on getting some craft cocktails, which we certainly got in spades. We sat at the bar and we were well taken care of. We gave them room to surprise us with information on what we liked, and we were not disappointed. More importantly, I finally got to have the nearly mythic burger. I had wanted to come by for years for the burger when it was limited, then still never got here when it became a regular menu item. I have no idea why. That was a magical burger. I loved every part of it. Juicy, tasty, balanced, great pickles (and I hate pickles), and good fries with it too. I will definitely be back here more often and I have no decent reason as to why it took me so long to figure it out.

Joined a group of friends here and we took over the booth in the back corner of the front room. Had a great time. They were making a gin cocktail as a special and, even though I am not a big gin fan, it was excellent when I tried a sip (or two). They also made my favorite Monte Cassino (a rye riff on a Last Word). Great drinks all around. We also had food. The meatballs they were making on special were great, but I loved my garlic and red chile flake shrimp even more. It was a Friday night so they had live music, but we were talking quite a bit in our group and only heard it a bit. Bartender was very helpful and the staff was friendly.

My husband and I had a fantastic time exploring Flagstaff this week. We had spent an amazing dinner at Tinderbox the night before and anticipated enjoying another evening at the Annex. Unfortunately our evening at the Annex was quite the opposite. We felt as if we were more of a bother or rather an inconvenience to the hosts than an actual customer. Our 15 minute wait quickly turned into a 45 minute wait and as I waited to ask the hostess how much longer she proceeded to seat a group of girls that had just arrived immediately. Again, we had been waiting for 45 minutes and not once the host talked to us about how much longer to be seated. After the hostess seated the group of girls and I asked how much longer she told me she had “f***** up” and was going to come back with a solution. After waiting yet another ten minutes with no word on being seated and yet another group who walked up and were seated immediately I had to go back up again and ask a different host about getting a seat. Needless to say the atmosphere of the Annex had lost its appeal since we felt as if we were not welcomed from the front of the house with their lack of hospitality.

We came for wine and charcuterie board, perhaps followed by some other appetizers. The charcuterie board was a farce, two cheeses, two meats, stale crackers, peppers and a couple of nuts. No dried fruit , soft cheese, fig, parm crisps or bread, olives,etc. choices were limited. Think Walmart, not fine cheeses.

If you are lucky sit at the bar. They work like a fine tone machine making drinks that you see on TV. Im cheap and only had vodka cokes, but the signature drinks looked amazing. I had 3 different tacos, all amazing Carne was pimp. My wife had the nachos with chorizo and was great FYI we added the guacamole and it was great, but maybe to spicy for many.

Traveling from Santa Fe to Scottsdale, we stopped in Flagstaff for two nights. Luckily, we discovered the Annex. Wonderful craft cocktails and scrumptious food for weary travelers. We were so impressed that we came back a second evening because we couldn't get enough of the warm hospitality of mixologists like Jason and Sara. Atmosphere made us feel very comfortable and welcome.

Had a good trip to the Annex bringing a work/ networking contact with me that was in town for a mutual client meeting. We were only able to get there about 8:30, not long before closing, but they were welcoming and nice to us. We got our food order in before the kitchen closed down and had the charcuterie board. We also had time for two rounds of cocktails before they fully closed down for the night (it was a Tuesday). Staff was friendly and helpful and the food was good. There was a bit of missing detail with the cocktails, such as missing garnishes, etc., but they were still quite good. Taught them to make a drink I wanted and they had all the materials. My contact enjoyed the time, including seeing the basque hand ball court out the main window into the back area. Will come back again soon.

P.S - we extended our hours for our Summer Season, so we will be open at 3pm everyday, and closing at 10pm, except on Fridays and. Saturdays, when we close at midnight.

The best cocktails aren't cheap, but they are very good. I don't get to go here as much as I want to, and if I could...it would be an every day thing. The drinks are great, the food is great. During colder months, you better get here early to get a table, because it will be packed! During warmer seasons, there is a very nice patio! Love this place!

Great cocktail menu with perfect service. Plenty busy but our bartender kept our waters filled and cocktails flowing. Enough variety for everyone in your group, highly recommended for anyone wanting to enjoy new and imaginative cocktails.
