We enjoyed the sushi here very much. The waitress recommended the firecracker sushi roll and that one was to die for. So were the Las Vegas, Spider and volcano. Only down side was the restaurant isn't solely for sushi, so other foods there as well...and we hadn't seen that before. But the sushi was greatMore

We are here two nights! The sushi chefs were cordial and chatted with us our entire meal sitting at the sushi bar, what a great time! We enjoyed watching them prepare it and tell us about the area The sushi was delicious!! Huge bonus it...was right in our hotel!More

This restaurant is in a good location, easy parking. Service is mediocre and a bit of a weird atmosphere. Pricing is reasonable and food is average.

Since I was staying at the hotel this was an obvious place to eat. I am not a big sushi fan but I do like Teppanyaki. I had the vegetable tempura which was a huge portion with a great variety of vegetables. The beef was...tender and perfectly cooked, the scallops were very good but I did detect some grit in one. Service was great but probably because there were few customers. Price was fair. There was a large amount of food that was enjoyed the next day.More

I was feeling better after a recent bout of illness, so decided to take myself out to dinner and teppanyaki appealed to me. I had to wait nearly half an hour for the next designated seating, which was understandable due to the nature of the...operation. So I went to the bar and had a unplanned martini, which was fine. When I was seated, there was only one other patron at my table, and adjoining us a birthday celebration from the University. The gentleman at my table was traveling on business and eats here often and he made for good company. The soup was egg drop, instead of the expected miso and the salad was OK. My main course of steak and shrimp was quite tasty, efficiently prepared by Chef Eric before my eyes. Then I splurged and had the fried ice cream, which put a good finishing touch. I am giving four stars, not five, as my main negative is I think the prices are a tad high for what one gets.More

Since I'm not a big sushi fan, this place would never make it as a first choice. But my partner dragged me in and to keep the peace I went quietly. They only serve sushi so don't think you will be able to avoid it....Service was Ok and the sushi I'm told was good.More

Hi Doug -- we also offer teppan dishes at our teppan tables where our chefs cook up your choice of chicken, steak, shrimp, fried rice and more! We hope you'll have the opportunity to return and give teppan a try!

We made reservations for 3 here for 8:30, since they said we couldn't be seated until then when calling at 6. We waited, and showed up a few minutes early. Nobody else was waiting and many tables were available. The hostess grabbed menus and headed...to the dining room, we followed, she turned around, said, "no, no, I have to clean a table" and left. She returned, we followed her in, she says again, "I have to clean a table, go have a seat." We sat, and waited, and waited. Eventually a group of people come in and were told "just a minute, I have to clean a table." She comes out and tells them to follow her! I was sitting there and simply said "really." She turns around, looks at us and says "oh, you can come too." This was not in the nicest if tones. We left. We had waited 20 minutes plus for a table and others came in and they get one right away? We were well past our reservation time by now. This was totally unacceptable. If I could give them a 0, I would.More

We were starting at the hotel and this restaurant was recommended by our tour guide. I was initially concerned that it was extremely quiet, but it was a Monday night. We both went for teppanyaki, which was a great decision. Quite a show in front...of the table to cook the food. I really enjoyed the whole experience.More

We love being your favorite and thank you for continuing to choose Sakura! Note: reservations can help to reduce or eliminate wait times. Our 'shows' typically take about 30 minutes once started and typically start once a table is full or nearly full.

Tried this restaurant as we were visiting Flagstaff & so glad we did! Julieta was our server & was very attentive. Gene was our amazing chef. Both were excellent! We have visited many hibachi restaurants in different states & Gene had tricks up his sleeve...we have never seen. Food was excellent, large portions, and our family was entertained by Gene. Would highly recommend!More
