We just happened upon this place, because it was a meeting place, between two hotels during, back to school week. I found the food good, their service was very fast. We all had different things, and everyone was pleased with their dishes.

My wife and I recently stopped at the Crown Railroad Cafe on old Route 66 in Flagstaff, Arizona. The Cafe is located by the Howard Johnson Motel. We were there for breakfast. My wife had an English muffin, bacon and coffee and I had a short stack of pancakes and coffee. The food was really good. The short stack was... More

Reminds me of an old American diner. Decent food, good price and outstanding service. Give it a four, my wife's bacon sandwich was a little skimpy on the bacon. Everything else was great. Highly recommended for breakfast, they also have lunch and dinner specials.

It is located next to Howard Johnson Inn, Flagstaff. We enjoyed the Pork Chops (restaurant’s specialty), BBQ Pork Ribs and Chicken Fried Steak with Gravy. The French fries were particularly good. We liked the food so much that we order the same dishes the following evening. Good value for money. Model electric train running near the ceiling around the restaurant.

We found this restaurant near our hotel, within walking distance. It is a retro style café. In fact, when you sit near the window, you can imagine sitting in the dining car of a passenger train. The servers were friendly and efficient. The meals were huge and tasty and very filling. Total price for 4 adults was $56.00. They don't... More

This place has moved east to Route 66. It does have very good breakfasts. The electric trains running along tracks near the ceiling are fun.

I spend as much time on Route 66 as possible when traveling. I enjoy the old memories. While driving through Flagstaff I spotted what used to be a Howard Johnson restaurant. Sure enough, the Crown Railroad Café is a step back in time. I'm sure it hasn't changed much. Booths, tables and seating at the counter. The décor most likely... More

Waitress was warm and friendly. Wide variety of selections. Three of us got different items. Steak was large, tender, and juicy. Omelets are large and fluffy. Everything was cooked to order. Besides great service the potatoes "those" and the biscuits and gravy set this place apart. Recommend for breakfast.

We had been to and enjoyed in the past. Restaurant is now closed for business and phone is disconnected. We tried to eat there this morning. Plan B!

The food here is a café setting. It comes out in a timely manner and the wait staff is good. The food to cost ratio is good and you will always have some leftovers. Great job on everything yall. B+ overall.
