The venue won't impress you, but the food definitely will. Worked in Baton Rouge once and this is as authentic Cajon BBQ as you will get anywhere. Sweetie and Rascal Pants

Satchmo's is for comfort food cravers and beer lovers who want a night away from "healthy eating." Who knew that tater tots could taste so good to a grownup? Those and the sweet potato fries and the skillet-made cornbread are the perfect sides for anything on the menu, but I prefer the pulled BBQ pork sandwich, without the bun. Order... More

The catfish bites with chips are amazing. And I do mean AMAZING. It's kind of small inside if they are busy, otherwise I would give it 5 stars. But really, I love eating here and make a point to go when I'm in flagstaff.

Great Creole food, Only tried the catfish, but next time I am in Flagstaff I will try more of their dishes.

We drove up here from about 30 mins away. To put that in perspective, for us Europeans that is a long drive :-). Weren't disappointed, we had half a rack of ribs each and I sampled a very nice local beer. This is a place well worth a visit.

We sat outside at the sunset in a chilly August day and it was amazing. The sandwiches were great and the local brewed beers are very tasty. About the price, a sandwich combo and beer costed 20$.

Wife and I took a shot at Satchmo's on a weekend getaway trip. We were not disappointed. The full rack of ribs was gigantic (had I known, I might have only got a half) and my wife's shrimp Po boy sandwich was delicious. Overall, we had a nice lunch and enjoyed the stop. d

We stopped here after a nine hour drive. We were hungry and tired. We could not have picked a better place to eat! Food came out so quick, it was delicious! We sat on the patio with other families and enjoyed the cool air and talking with the staff! Service was so friendly and helpful! A great find!

Popped in while staying in Flagstaff a couple of night and it was great. Local beers, awesome food, friendly staff. Between us we had the pulled pork and the jambalaya, both were delicious. The tater tots and smoked beans were amazing too. Also, you can doodle on your paper tablecloth, lots of fun.

Thank Chris H

A funky little joint, that cooks with love. Ribs, Beef Brisket, Pulled Pork, Jambalaya, Gumbo, Poboys and Veggie options just to name a few! A killer selection of local and regional craft brews. We understand it may not taste just like your Grandma's Gumbo or just like Pop's BBQ. But what we do understand is cook'n with love, just like Grandma and Pop's did. Good for your soul food!
