The Five Senses in Murfreesboro is at the top of it’s game! Top notch service, inventive wines with generous pours and the best food in the Middle Tennessee area! At a recent visit we had a delicious charcuterie plate to start. Pan seared duck breast...and the king salmon entrées were magnificent. You can always count on the Filet if in the mood for steak. I should also mention your meals are accompanied by the best corn muffins you will ever eat. Consistently the best for 18 years!More

My husband made us reservations for 6:30 on July 12th. When we arrived there were about 8 tables with guest. ! The bar area was full! We were seated and waited about 10 minutes before anyone came to serve us. She brought a carafe with...water and small glasses. The water was lukewarm and tasted terrible. My husband finally got her attention and ask her about the water….she nonchalantly commented, “It’s Tap Water!” No chill no Ice! Unreal!! We ask for Sparkling water and that took 20 minutes to get! We had been there 45 minutes before we received our bar drinks. Normally upon arriving and being seated, you get a plate of corn muffins! We finally received some right about an hour after we arrived! Unreal! I noticed after being there over an hour that No One who was there when we arrived had received their food as well!! I could only find ONE table with food. And I could see it in the small separate room they have. It was 2 guest!! I had the pork! Very very dry! My husband had the fish! And it smelled of fish! He and I ate a few bites, ask for our check and left! Very very disappointed! No one ever came around and asked….how is your meal? I feel they were afraid to!! This is the last time we shall eat there!! We moved into the area a couple of years ago and enjoyed Fives Senses in the past! But this make three times we have been disappointed!! Don’t waste your money or night out!More

Love this place! We have been for all "seasons" so the menu varies. Local farm to table with its own delicious flair. I cannot recommend whatever is the "special" for the evening enough. It's always a tasteful surprise. Our servers have always been excellent. Recent...visit we started with the Pott's Meats Pork Belly with Sriracha Caramel! It was amazing. I opted for the filet, perfection and my husband had the special that was so good! All the soups and salads are wonderful, have no favorite. Dessert was the Orange Ricotta Cannolis with chocolate ganache, pistachio and white chocolate. I have only one negative comment and it's the bar. Have ordered several cocktails over time and they were not good. So, I stick to wine. Other than that, it's 2 thumbs up!More

We decided to have a birthday celebration dinner delivered to home. It was a great success. Food delivered exactly on time at 6:45 pm. Food packaged well and piping hot as if it just came out of the kitchen. Food delicious! We shared a special...pork belly appetizer and 4 traditional salads with a vinaigrette dressing on the side. The entrees were 3 filets and one larger bone in filet for the birthday boy. All steaks were cooked as requested , a pink hot center medium. Red potatoes and green beans were the perfect sides and a generous portion of delicious moist cornbread muffins completed the deal. It was so nice not to grill and prepare side dishes , instead we were able to enjoy each other’s company. Fabulous job to Mitchell and his staff.More

I went with friends for a weeknight dinner. We had reservations, but the restaurant wan't full. Service was warm, professional and attentive. Our server had a tremendous knowledge of the menu and food preparation. Food was delicious, nice sized portions and a good value for...what you get. Overall, it was a wonderful evening.More

This restaurant has fine food. My husband and I attended an event with a 3 course special menu. On the menu was a steak, fish and chicken. My first course was a mushroom soup with cheesy focaccia croutons. For my second course, I ordered the...grilled chicken breast with smoked cauliflower purée, peas and carrots with Marchand de vin. My last course was a warm chocolate Pistachio bread pudding. Everything was delicious. One negative was that my chicken was tough to cut. It did not melt in my mouth - very chewy. However, it had a very good flavor. The chocolate bread pudding was very, very good. My husband got the salad for his first course. It had mixed lettuces, radishes, carrot, grilled onions with a blue cheese vinaigrette. It was very good. His second course was a blackened halibut with white beans, zucchini, crawfish tails and basil yogurt. Lastly for dessert, he got the honey lavender creme chiboust which he didn’t really care for. He liked my bread pudding better. Portion sizes were filling. A good place for date night.More

Went because of the Trip Advisor recommendations but when you have Bone Fish grill in top 10 for Murfreesboro the scale might be a little sku’d. The cocktails they had were great but the apps and main dishes were underwhelming. We got the American shrimp...app and it was just mushy and not that flavorful. ( had a ton of smoky to it too if you like that). Wife got the Beignet and she was not a fan. I got the Veal dish and it was tender but thought the coating was greasy and over cooked . She got the swordfish and is was disappointed too. We were going to try dessert but really like a cappuccino or espresso with it and they do not have one there.. which is odd for a fancier type of restaurant.... just cheap rip open the bag type of diner coffee... you would think with the “local” ingredients they would get a better quality bean from a local toaster that they could promote... missed opportunity here Oh well maybe when new menu comes out we will try but not impressedMore

This our second date night at the restaurant, the menu changes often but the food is amazing. The service is impeccable. Last night my wife had a seafood dish, and I had a tomahawk pork chop. Both were delicious. I’d recommend it as an alternative...to driving to Nashville.More

I have no idea. All I can say is DO NOT ORDER CHICKEN BREAST as I had a catered lunch from Five Senses that had a chicken breast entree and it was inedible--hard, dry, and all but impossible to cut---really bad.
