The servers were polite and very helpful, the restaurant was clean and well set-out and the food was OUTSTANDING! This was our first time there and we will be back. Try the shrimp soup - nice sized bowl, delicious flavors. Also had the veggie burrito...- it was packed with flavor and HUGE!!More

I have been to Italo's for a few years. They did a very nice, modern remodel since I was there. I like to take a chance and order some different. WOW to the Chilaquiles Pavel with pork as meat choice!!! It came out cooked in...a small black frying pan. Apparently it is a mexican breakfast dish, but that is because there is a fried egg on top. It had tortilla chips, onions, guacamole and other yummy Mexican stuff in it. Every bite had that "healthy good feed" taste about it. Huge portion for $14. I ate half of it and was stuffed and am very much looking forward to lunch today.More

So happy we moved close to this restaurant, the food is so authentic and tastes amazing. This is family owned I believe and they are all so kind.

Had lunch at the bar. Only $3.50 for a Dos Equis draft! Our bartender, Pavel, was very friendly and helpful. Had chicken and steak tacos. Very tasty. They gave us a sample of the chipotle chicken which was a little zippy but very good. This...place is definitely better than a 4 but not quite a 5 ... yet.More

Five of us stopped in for dinner last Friday and it was disappointing. We had a reservation and our table was ready when we got there. The hostess seated us but didn't give us menus or take our drink order. After 10 minutes of waiting...I asked the hostess for menus and to get us a drink, she said our waitress would be right with us. After another 10 minutes a waitress took our drink order but they were out of sprite or anything similar and my father in law was trying to avoid caffeine. The waitress eventually brought us menus and after another significant wait and took our order without writing anything down. She not only made a mistake on our order but forgot two orders for the group behind us. Why not just write it down....?? It took forever for our food to come out and when it did we still didn't have silverware or plates. It took another 10 minutes with our food on the table getting cold for us to get plates and silverware. Our waitress actually mentioned she had her child with her and it was slowing her down. I didn't think it was appropriate to mention it to us let alone have the child occupy a full table while busy on a Friday night. The food wasn't bad. Our Fajitas had almost no onions or peppers but they did taste good. The Chicken Tacos were just OK but the Spicy Pork Tacos were awful. The quality of meat wasn't very good. My father in law had the Sopes with Cesina or Salty Beef and enjoyed it. My brother in law enjoyed the ground beef tacos and his Chimichanga. My sister in law liked her food. It appeared clean. Street parking is available but can be tough to find a close spot. The prices are reasonable. The service was so bad and slow I doubt we would return especially with similar options very close by. 2 1/2 hours for 5 people to get Mexican food with no alcoholic drinks is just too long.More

There was a total of six of us that stopped in for dinner. Upon sitting down we waited 10 minutes before anybody came over with menus. When the food came out it was warm not hot. The taste of the food was really good and...my wife wasn’t sure because it never came out. The waiter said it will be right out, but we finished eating completely before the server said we ran out of shrimp so they are trying to whip it up quick. Well we didn’t keep it and had it removed from the bill. Overall food tasted good. Service was very slow even though they are running around like it was really busy for a total of ten tables in the place. Unfortunately I will not return.More

My husband and I had been to Italo's last year and thoroughly enjoyed it. This time around, my husband chose it for his birthday lunch - just a quiet and relaxing meal for the two of us. We got exactly that. We went around 2:00...when the lunch group had gone and it was a couple of hours until dinner. A waiter came right over with menus and the waitress came several minutes later to take our drink orders. My husband had a Modelo and I had a traditional Margarita, both very good. We took our time looking at the menu and were ready for the waitress when she returned. I had Sopes with chicken. Really good! And my husband had Cheese Enchiladas which he enjoyed. The portions are always generous, the food is homemade and the prices are reasonable. We'll definitely return.More

Once, we were ignored at the corner of the bar for a long time until we were dressing to leave before finally getting service. I let this pass because they were busy and the food was usually good, even if they often run out of...menu items and ingredients. Tonight, we went for the Taco Tuesday special. I think we discerned that there no longer is one, though the waitress had difficulty understanding my inquiry about the special (because she was new or never knew there was one). My wife stuck with her taco order, while I looked at the menu again before deciding on a wet burrito. The waitress was unfamiliar with the menu, repeatedly misunderstanding my order for the burrito MOJADO (wet, topped with green sauce) or inquiry about getting spicy pork in the burrito, requiring her to confer with the manager multiple times throughout the order. Immediately after placing my order, my wife’s tacos came out because the waitress had put the order in before even taking my order. Then the manager came over to clarify and assure me, no problem, they can make the burrito with pork. We sat uncomfortably before insisting she eat her meal while warm. Finally, the wrong burrito arrives, no sauce, even after the repeated clarifications with the waitress and manager. Fed up and intending to go eat elsewhere I requested the check, stating I’d pay for the drinks and what we ate—the guacamole appetizer, and I guess one of my wife’s tacos (while awkwardly dancing around the fact that she was served long before me). Check arrives with everything on, including my wrong burrito and the rest of my wife’s uneaten order. Wishing to avoid confrontation, my wife handed over her credit card, paying for her entire meal and a to-go box for her other taco.More

My husband and I were just there last weekend it was cinco de mayo (lol excuse my spelling) anyway the waitress came to seat us and attempted to sit us literally next to the front desk and door, we asked for another table... there had...to be at least 10-15 available .. so I asked for the one by the window (a small round table set for three...but she acknowledged that they were expecting to be busy later and asked if we’d sit smack in the middle table.. I said ok I just wanted to have a margarita and enjoy the afternoon. Ok, so my bald husbands head is freezing and I’m freezing like I’m sure the sun would have helped but whatever... by now a water arrived he wasbgreat(duke his name) at explaining the drinks but if he made em... the margaritas need more tequila the we’re kknda mediocre. And the food was good so overawe were simply satisfied... may go again but definitively It’s not our first choice. Ok hope to have a better review on my next date night.signed...TWO FOODIES after errands DATE !More

Hubby and I heard about this mexican place. We went Saturday about 4:30 pm the place was packed. We had a young man wait on us. Very prompt and he was good. Got our drinks and ordered right away. Got guac and chips first. Guac...had larger fresh tomatoes chopped up in it. Different. Chips were crisp. I ordered 4 tacos. Two chicken two beef. Tasted to me just like what I get in places in mexico. We travel to mexico 4 times a year so we know authentic. I had to ask for sour cream because chicken was a-little dry. Liked the pork alot. There was cilantro and chopped onions on the tacos. Hubby liked his dish - some sort of special pork burritos, beans, rice. Forget the exact name. Will definitely go back. By 5 pm there was a waiting line out the door. 😮 whoaMore

This was my first time eating here (placed a to go order). I ordered the steak burrito and was told it would be ready in about 15 minutes. It's not a very big place, but there are tables to eat at as well as a...nice bar. The burrito is huge and lasted me two days. It's filled with rice (a ton of rice) and steak topped with a little bit of sour cream and with lettuce and tomato on the side. Prices are reasonable. The flavor was pretty good, but I thought it was a bit dry. I would of liked it better if it had a cheese sauce and pico de gallo on top. Might try something else next time.More

Authentic and delicious Mexican cuisine served by friendly, helpful and efficient staff. Atmosphere is not fancy, but very comfortable, homey and welcoming. Italo's features authentic Mexican dishes that many Mexican restaurants in this area do not. Quality of food was superb. Can't wait to return!

We parked on the street just a short walk from the restaurant. We have been there a couple of times for lunch, and have easily found parking both times.
