I am not sure how you’d go here if you weren’t on a ship as it’s located ON the cruise ship dock. I had a half a steamed dungeness crab with melted butter and hot hush puppies and I was pretty happy. The quality made...up for the expense and they were very friendly.More

Glad you were happy with your meal! Our specialty IS our quality :) And, just in case you're ever back in Sitka, we are totally accessible from the main road, even if you're not a cruise ship passenger. Thanks for coming in and leaving a...More

We always stop by the Halibut Crab & Chowder for lunch after a morning of touring Sitka. We are there once a year. Tis is the first time that I am not giving them a five(5). This 4 is due to we ordered clam chowder...in a bread bowl only to be disappointed when we were told they didn't have bread bowls. The service is excellent and the price is competitive. Yes, we will be back next year. Hopefully we can give them another 5.More

My fiancé and I stopped here for lunch, ( going back tomorrow 8/28) we went looking for this tent! Unless your getting off a cruise ship or a local it was a bit harder to find from justnthe sign on th road..... But was so...worth the circle we made tomfind it! We both had the king crab, and it was so fresh and hot! Cooked perfectly, steamed. When we walked in we saw the chef (or so I assumed was the chef) at a table actually cracking the king crab open and pulling the meat out for an older couple. It was very kind of her to do,it all for them. Tomorrow I plan on having the fresh live Dungeness crab for lunch. The price is market price so it’s really average for AK and worth the very buttery sweet cent! I also got myself a baseball cap, I will probably get a sweatshirt this next time. No matter how you visit Sitka this is a defiant must! The chef brought our king crab to us and showed us how to “crack” them, allthough she didn’t know she was teaching seasoned professionals 😂😂 it was obviously something helpful to slot of people and we happily watched. We shared a regular size clam chowder, it was warm with big meaty pieces of clams. With all ththe crab you get it was more then enough of the warm briny chowder to prepare us for the sweet warm and buttery crab. I had a small draft of an Alaskan beer I was disappointed in so I forgot the name and my fiancé had two glasses of lemons he said was really good. I forgot,to take pics when I was there last time, I’m taking some tomorrow and will, add ,y opinion on the dungys.... so far to me king is the king, but we will see how fresh live dumbness is........More

Wasn’t hungry and was intimidated by the pricing, but ordered the full Dungeness Crab. And boy, was that the right decision! Tender, sweet and unbelievably flavorful. Yes, it’s expensive and yes, it’s a fair amount of work. But, you’re unlikely to be able to top...it anywhere. So, if you love Crab, you owe it to yourself to go for it. Nuff said.More

A pop up tent serving great grab dishes. I came back fro town and was a little early to board my cruise. So I had a fresh crab entree. Very good!! It was expensive for what i got but was well worth it.

This restaurant is located in a tent next to the cruise terminal about 15 minutes shuttle ride from Sitka. Friendly service and compared with some other restaurants I saw in Alaska, it was quite reasonable. My wife had the Dungenss crab and it was very...good as well.More

First stop on the cruise was Sitka and we visited a few animal places and on the way back I popped into the Halibut Point tent. Imagine a festival and the food tent, it is like that. However, they have fresh crab, Dungeness and King,...as well as Halibut and Chowder etc. They also had Spruce Tip beer from Sitka. What a great combination. You can't miss them getting off the boat. Try itMore

6 of us chowed down on the 2 combos that we ordered. It was SO good. We has some debate as to whether the flavor of the dungeness or the flavor of the king crab was superior. Since I am writing the review, I will...say the king crab won. However, I live in Seattle and get a lot of dungeness.More
